Job description
We are seeking a talented Senior Web Developer to join our team at Matomo. You will be involved with the maintenance and improvement of a large number of projects using PHP, Mysql, JavaScript, CSS and WordPress, contribute to the overall user experience of our client's open-source analytics service, provide high-level support for their users, take ownership of technical issues, and refine our client's website design and features.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve projects using PHP, javascript, CSS and Wordpress
- Provide high-level support for customers
- Collaborate with team members and coach and mentor as needed
- Participate in scrum process and meetings
- Participate in code reviews
- Maintain and improve our matomo.org, shop.matomo.org, plugins.matomo.org, developer.matomo.org websites
- Maintain and improve our Matomo for WordPress product.
- Work on other projects as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in Wordpress development
- 5+ years commercial experience in PHP, javascript and CSS application development (full stack)
- Leadership or mentorship experience
- Experience using databases and SQL
- Skilled at writing automated tests
- Ideally strong analytical skills and a passion to understand complex business logic
- Familiar with Linux command line
- Ability to work independently
