Senior Water Mitigation Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our team as Senior Restoration Property Specialist!
The daily responsibilities of this role could be fulfilled remotely and the candidate does not need to be in an office, but we prefer the candidate to be near in any of the hubs from the listed locations in the job.
In this role, you will independently manage, investigate, and coordinate various EMS activities, ensuring effective handling of a high volume of vendor assignments and policyholder interactions. You will be responsible for complex damage estimation, vendor invoice review, and payment processing, all while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires a solid background in insurance claims and water mitigation, along with strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities:
Responds to inbound calls from water mitigation vendors and makes outbound calls as appropriate. Writes complex water damage mitigation estimates, including losses that involve mold and asbestos.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on invoices for claims involving program or non-program vendors.
Ensures resolution of vendor and policyholder escalations. Manages resolution of escalated reassignments.
Reviews routine and complex EMS invoices for accuracy in accordance with vendor estimating guidelines, service level agreements and/or IICRC guidelines and negotiates with vendors, public adjusters and/or customers.
Conducts reviews to ensure appropriate documentation is secured from vendors. This includes dry logs, photos and other related EMS documents.
Assists with training of less experienced staff and handles special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Strong written and oral communications skills required
Good interpersonal, organizational, investigative and negotiation skills required
Customer service experience required
3-5 years of prior work experience in insurance and/or dealing with residential property restoration
Knowledge of water damage restoration required
Capable of writing complex structural damage estimates or water damage mitigation estimates
Demonstrated ability to handle claims of high complexity and exposure, including claims involving mold and asbestos
Ability to perform tasks involving PL and Safeco brands
Bachelor’s degree plus an established record of strong property or water damage restoration experience preferred
Has completed some advanced Water EMS training, which may include WRT and/or ASD certifications
AMRT certification is preferred
Cleared background for licensing upon hire
