You will collaborate closely with our engineers and may also be responsible for developing and coding prototypes. There are additional opportunities to conduct research, aggregate and analyze design trends, and incorporate marketing and brand insights to develop user profiles and design standards.

  • Enhance usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and other design properties through execution

  • Document your designs thoroughly and effectively for diverse audiences

  • Advocate for user needs in your designs while balancing technical constraints and business requirements

  • Create and model systems including data, navigation, and interactions

  • Consider the big picture while frequently delving into project details

  • Develop tools and processes for designers and engineers to engage with the design system

  • Support earlier-career designers through thoughtful critique and encouragement of UX best practices

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • Portfolio demonstrating strong design processes, quality, and outcomes

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

  • Experience working on a diverse set of complex, data-intensive digital products and services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work quickly and thoughtfully, as our team operates as a startup within a larger company

  • Well-rounded digital design skills with a primary focus on system and interaction design and information architecture, and secondary abilities in graphic/visual design and research

  • Experience iteratively shipping products with engineers and product teams in a collaborative, Lean UX/Agile software development environment

  • Ability to balance specific product needs with broader component and pattern applications for multiple products

  • Responsiveness to direction and ability to work with diverse people from different disciplines to achieve outcomes

  • Ability to be strategic and outcome-oriented and present your work with a critical eye to the business

  • Proficiency in relevant tools and an interest in exploring new tools to stay on the cutting edge
