This is a remote role ONLY open to United States citizens living in the United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Program Manager to join as a founding member of our Federal Products Team. This team is responsible for building, operating, and innovating on products to support and grow Grafana Labs’ US Federal customer base. 

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the federal compliance landscape and process, project management acumen, and the technical fluency required to guide complex projects to successful completion.

In this role, you will: 

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects aimed at achieving FedRAMP authorization for Grafana Cloud

  • Develop and maintain project plans for FedRAMP authorization activities, milestones, and deliverables

  • Clarify roles and responsibilities within projects among individuals, and establish and maintain clear chains of accountability

  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Engineering, Security, Legal, Documentation) to ensure alignment with FedRAMP requirements and standards

  • Manage and assist in the creation of required documentation and compliance artifacts for the FedRAMP process

  • Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including federal agencies, third-party assessors (3PAOs), and internal teams to ensure clear understanding of expectations, timelines, and deliverables

  • Anticipate and manage risks, trade-offs, and cross-team dependencies; escalate and identify solutions to impediments

  • Stay abreast of changes in FedRAMP requirements, market trends, and the overall federal compliance landscape, advising on necessary adjustments to project plans and strategies

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on FedRAMP, providing guidance and training to internal teams to foster a culture of compliance and security awareness

We’re excited about you because you have:

  • Led one or more CSPs end-to-end through the FedRAMP authorization process, including involvement in production of a Readiness Assessment and Security Authorization Package, managing relationships with a 3PAO and Authorizing Agency, and implementing remediation and change requests.

  • 3+ years of experience in Technical Program or Project Management

  • 3+ years of experience working on a B2B SaaS product or other cloud computing technologies

  • A desire to dive into complex solutions and work with a highly technical product and customers

  • The ability to excel in the fast-paced, ambiguous, and fluid environment of a start-up

  • A track record of managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders to successful completion

  • Strong knowledge of program and change management practices and the ability to apply them where appropriate

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bonus Points

  • A BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience working at a FedRAMP Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO), FedRAMP PMO or related organization

  • Experience building observability products and/or developer tools

  • Experience operating or using Prometheus, Mimir, Grafana, and Kubernetes

  • Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies

  • Experience with products that have both as-a-service (SaaS) and self-managed

In the United States, the Base compensation range for this role is $152,000 - $183,000.  Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable) and other benefits listed here
