This position is needed to join our Enterprise Application Development and Operations team as senior Application Engineer who is responsible for design, configure, develop and test Zuora billing to support the requirements of the Finance, quote, Billing, AR, Revenue, Collections & Accounting teams. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, have a solid analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal communications, diligent time management skills, be team-oriented and have a strong work ethic. The candidate should be able to conduct design workshops with the business, build a prototype of the system for demos before the start of the development phase. Should be able to mentor a couple of junior consultants under him/her. Should be able to work well under pressure to meet ongoing and overlapping deadlines within short time constraints.
This role is expected to be having strong knowledge Zuora SaaS Billing, Usage and Subscriptions, product and pricing config, Cash application and Revenue processes integrated with multiple upstream usage systems and downstream systems. Able to understand and manage Twilio’s entire I2C landscape in partnership with the Global Accounting and billing teams to drive automations and innovation. You will gather requirements, design, configure, develop , test and maintain Zuora billing.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
Lead end-to-end architecture and complex product catalog design within Zuora Billing, including charge models, subscription lifecycle management, and scalable O2C/OTR solution design aligned to business and finance processes.
Drive advanced Zuora configurations including custom workflows (automation, integrations, error handling), mediation and data transformation pipelines, advanced billing rules, custom rating logic, multi-entity/multi-currency global setups, custom reports/data sources, and billing performance optimization.
Design, build, and support robust integrations between Zuora and enterprise systems (Oracle ERP, tax engines, payment gateways, CRM, data platforms), including API-based integrations, middleware flows, automated reconciliations, and audit control mechanisms.
Own post–go-live production support, including incident management (P1/P2), root cause analysis, change and release management, operational stability, and support for financial close and compliance processes.
Lead full lifecycle implementations (requirements through hypercare), provide governance and technical leadership, mentor team members, ensure documentation and knowledge transfer, and represent Zuora architecture in executive and cross-functional design forums.
Develops and executes system conversion and implementations.
Lead cross-functional requirement sessions to elicit, document and analyze business requirements and functional specifications. Includes identifying unspoken or conflicting requirements and challenging the norm.
Manage KLO operations and stakeholders support with daily activities, Financial close, reconciliations etc.

Required:
Strong knowledge of Zuora subscriptions, billing, product and pricing management.
Must have knowledge on integrations around Zuora with Salesforce, Oracle ERP, Banks, Payment Gateways, and Avalara tax.
Expertise in Zuora platform, objects, Custom events and Zuora workflows.
Knowledge on developing and executing system conversion and implementations.
Good understanding of Customer aging, AR to GL reconciliation and month end processes
Should have a good knowledge of change management, Agile methodologies.
B.Tech or an MBA graduate
Desired:
Certifications in Zuora Billing implementations
Location
This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
Travel

The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:
Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. :$128,560.00 - $160,700.00
Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $136,000.00- $170,000.00
Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $151,120.00 - $188,900.00.
This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan. All roles are generally eligible for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
