About the Role/Specialty
As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll play a key role in helping Canva grow its presence across China, Japan, Korea, and India. You’ll focus on sourcing and attracting amazing talent, ensuring a great candidate experience, and supporting hiring managers throughout the process. What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
You’ll partner closely with hiring managers and cross-functional teams to define and execute hiring strategies
You’ll source and attract diverse talent using multiple channels and creative approaches
You’ll lead end-to-end recruitment for roles across all the functions in the CJKI region, with a focus in China Technology team recruiting
You’ll deliver exceptional candidate experiences, acting as a brand ambassador for Canva
You’ll continuously improve processes, leveraging data and insights to drive decisions
You’ll ensure compliance with local hiring laws and cultural best practices
You’ll contribute to employer branding initiatives in China and beyond
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about talent and thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. You’ve successfully recruited for technical and business roles, ideally within China or similar international markets. You understand the local talent landscape and can balance global consistency with regional nuance. You’re proactive, people-focused, and excited to help Canva scale its impact globally.
5+ years’ experience in end-to-end recruitment, preferably in high-growth or tech environments
Deep understanding of the Chinese talent market, with strong sourcing strategies tailored to local platforms and talent behaviours
Exceptional stakeholder management skills – you’re a trusted advisor who can influence hiring decisions and coach teams on best practices
Strong communication skills, fluent in Mandarin and proficient in English, with the ability to build rapport across diverse teams
Experience recruiting for a mix of roles – including technical, product, marketing, sales. Experience hiring in international market is highly preferred.
Data-driven mindset – you use metrics to drive improvements and guide decision-making
Passion for diversity, equity and inclusion – you build inclusive hiring processes and candidate pipelines
Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
