Are you an experienced product manager excited to work with developer tools that help the biggest companies around the world scale in production with GraphQL? As a Senior Staff Product Manager at Apollo, you’ll lead product vision for the core capabilities that enable Enterprises to adopt and scale Apollo’s industry-leading API composition platform, GraphOS, across their organizations.
You will be working with engineering organizations on the suite of tools that enable them to build, manage, and operate a supergraph of any size or scale, with minimal friction and maximum developer delight. You’d also be responsible for our entire suite of developer tools, including GraphOS Studio (our SaaS application for developing and managing GraphOS environments, Rover (our command-line interface for performing and automating GraphOS operational tasks, our extensions for third-party IDEs like VSCode and IntelliJ), and our local development tools like GraphOS Sandbox.

What you’ll do
Define and drive Apollo’s vision and strategy for the GraphOS developer ecosystem.
Build and evangelize a roadmap for these products across internal and external stakeholders. Develop and validate new GraphOS capabilities directly with industry-leading customers, such as Netflix, Paypal, Wayfair, Peloton, The New York Times, and many others.
Own and evolve Apollo’s user experience across various product surfaces and touchpoints, from administrative tools to API interfaces and command-line tools to third-party integrations.
You’re excited about GraphQL and modern developer tooling and are interested in helping push the industry forward.
About you
You have successfully led product development lifecycles and technical product management, ideally with developer platforms and infrastructure or similar B2B products.
You have experience or knowledge of developer ecosystems, or onboarding and growth.
You like learning and proactively keeping up with new developer trends by reading books, watching videos, taking classes, or doing something similar.
You possess a strong entrepreneurial drive and leadership skills.
Nice to have
Direct experience with GraphQL, API middleware, or scaled API platforms.
$166,000 - $260,000 a year

We make hiring decisions based on your skills, experience, and our overall assessment of what we learned during the hiring process. We are open to hiring these positions at a Senior Staff Product Manager to Director of Product Manager level, based on fit. The accompanied salary range covers these levels.
In addition to the U.S. base salary range, we also provide equity and benefits. Apollo offers all U.S. employees a choice of 3 Anthem Blue Cross medical plans and California residents can also choose from an additional 2 Kaiser medical plans. Dental and Vision benefits are provided by Sun Life Financial.
Location: This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere in the United States or Canada.
