Senior Specialist - Compensation Advising

Our Talent Practices & Employee Rewards team is seeking a Senior Specialist, Compensation Advising, to support compensation consulting for an aligned business. This role partners with HR Business Partners and other compensation advisors to provide data‑driven analysis and guidance on a range of compensation topics, supporting day‑to‑day decision making and foundational compensation initiatives.
This role contributes to the execution and adoption of key compensation programs and frameworks, including Career Framework, by providing analytical support, consultation, and implementation assistance. The ideal candidate brings strong compensation fundamentals, developing consulting and analytical capability, and the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations with guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a compensation advisor supporting assigned client groups, providing analytical insights and recommendations under guidance.
Partner with HR Talent Business Advisors to address day‑to‑day compensation needs in alignment with enterprise philosophy, escalating more complex issues as appropriate.
Analyze compensation topics such as market competitiveness, internal equity, and pay decisions, applying established frameworks, tools, and guidelines.
Support the execution and rollout of enterprise compensation programs and initiatives, including Career Framework and Job Architecture, through analysis, documentation, and change support.
Conduct compensation analysis and translate data into clear summaries, visuals, and recommendations to support informed decision making.
Participate in discussions with HR partners and leaders, learning to clearly explain analyses and recommendations, and assist in preparing materials for leadership review.
Skills & Capabilities:
Developing consulting acumen, with the ability to understand client needs, ask effective questions, and connect business context to compensation analysis.
Ability to build professional relationships with HR partners and business leaders, establishing credibility through analytical rigor and follow‑through.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with market data, internal pay data, and policy guidelines to generate insights.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain analyses and recommendations in a concise, approachable manner.
Detail‑oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and quality of work.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and requests in a fast‑paced environment with appropriate prioritization and support.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Typically requires 5 years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years of compensation, HR analytics, or closely related experience.
Foundational knowledge of compensation and market practices, including the ability to analyze and interpret compensation data.
Experience supporting compensation or HR analytics work in a consulting environment.
Exposure to job architecture, career frameworks, or job evaluation concepts preferred.
Ability to apply established guidelines and policies to business situations with guidance, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
