What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior Solution Technical Expert (SSTE) specializing in Forms, Documentation, Clinical Content, and Workflow Optimization in support of the Military Health System’s modernization of the MHS GENESIS EHR.

In this role, you will lead efforts that ensure clinical and administrative forms, documentation templates, and related workflows are built, validated, optimized, and maintained within Oracle Health (Cerner). You will work closely with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders across DHA, Defense Health Networks, and MTFs to ensure documentation tools support high‑quality patient care and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, build, optimization, and maintenance of electronic forms, templates, smart documentation tools, and documentation workflows within Oracle Health/Cerner.

  • Evaluate existing forms, templates, and documentation workflows; recommend improvements that enhance usability, standardization, efficiency, and data quality.

  • Conduct content validation, documentation gap analysis, clinical workflow reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support governance processes for documentation design and change control, ensuring alignment with DHA policies and MHS GENESIS standards.

  • Collaborate with clinical SMEs to ensure documentation supports compliant charge capture, clinical decision‑making, and downstream reporting.

  • Assist with documentation-related build activities in PowerChart, CareAware, FirstNet, Ambulatory, Inpatient, SurgiNet, and related modules as required.

  • Participate in working groups, requirements sessions, user feedback cycles, and large‑scale content updates.

  • Develop training materials, user guides, knowledge transfer documentation, and contribute to educational content for clinical end users.

  • Review system issues related to documentation errors, outdated forms, or workflow misalignment; troubleshoot and recommend corrective actions.

  • Partner with teams creating dashboards and analytics to evaluate form utilization, throughput, and documentation quality.

  • Prepare presentations, memos, and documentation for government stakeholders and DHA leadership.

What You Will Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; however, seven (7) years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.

  • US Citizenship is required

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain an approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

  • A minimum of THREE(3)+ years of Cerner/Oracle Health documentation, clinical content, or form/template build experience, including development, optimization, and troubleshooting

  • Strong understanding of clinical workflows and their integration with documentation and content tools

  • Experience working in healthcare environments; exposure to federal healthcare preferred

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience supporting MHS GENESIS, DHA, VA, or other federal health systems

  • Ability to design, configure, and validate Cerner documentation tools (smart templates, auto‑text, dynamic documentation, forms, iView, PowerForms, etc.)

  • Experience supporting clinical informatics, documentation governance, or clinical transformation efforts

  • Familiarity with workflow optimization, human factors/usability, and clinical operations

  • Experience working with military or highly regulated healthcare organizations

  • Ability to translate clinical and business requirements into technical build specifications

  • Experience developing educational materials and facilitating end‑user training

  • PMP/CAPM, CRCR, or other relevant certification preferred

  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, leading tasks, and driving complex deliverables

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations for senior leadership

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$133,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
