As we move upmarket to help businesses scale, we will broaden our focus from making sales reps efficient, to making sales reps effective. We’ll deliver a streamlined prospecting experience that combines real-time enablement, people and company data, historical engagement, and AI to guide reps to the most impactful actions and content that lead to pipeline generation.
The Prospecting Agent team in the Prospecting Product Group is exploring ways to leverage AI technology to solve problems across the sales process, aiming to empower sales teams to be even more effective and efficient. Sales teams are busy and need to focus their energy on human connection — using AI to make all the other parts of their job easier is a huge win. This is a new team building an innovative product; we’re moving fast, experimenting, and learning a ton from a very small set of beta testers.
Key Expectations for a Senior Software Engineer II in this role:
Recognized as a high-performing engineer who writes and ships production code that has meaningful user and business impact.
Work with a small team of engineers, product managers, and designers to meet relevant, compelling, and challenging goals for their team.
Willing to move fast and experiment, not prone to overthinking and can prioritize “done” over “perfect” while helping find product market fit.
Comfortable coming up to speed quickling in complex systems with intricate data models.
Willing to use, give feedback on, and contribute back to HubSpot’s quickly growing AI Platform.
Proactively take ownership of their team’s on-call health and product reliability and quality.
Driven to help HubSpot users meet their goals via projects they complete
We’re looking for individuals who:
Are strong, autonomous senior engineers who are curious to experiment and learn about how to build value-driven, customer-focused features that incorporate generative and predictive AI.
Have experience with Java, Kafka, and other backend technologies
Have experience working with LLMs, prompt generation, RAG techniques, and AI related technologies
Not only get excited about big, technical challenges, but also about being very close to the business and how AI might empower our customers to be more effective
Foster an environment that encourages autonomy and psychological safety.
