About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Consumer Team, you will play a crucial role in developing software to support our end to end consumer experience, covering everything from tracking to customer support. This is a highly cross functional team that touches virtually every aspect of the business. You will work on both greenfield and existing projects, involving full-stack development, mobile applications, and cloud technologies, to enhance our customer experience.

A great candidate:

• Experience working in a remote first environment

• Experience with React Native for building mobile applications

• Strong skills in React and Node.js for end-to-end development.

• Interest in working with LLMs

What You’ll Do: 

• Develop robust software applications that support our consumer mobile app and web application.

• Leverage AWS and other cloud technologies to design and implement systems in a serverless and event driven environment.

• Work with the Product and Design team to prioritize high impact initiatives and projects.

• Work closely with technical and non-technical end-users, engineers, and product managers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Analyzing code, requirements, system risks, and software reliability and providing recommendations on how to leverage our technology more efficiently

• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improve code quality.

What you bring: 

• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

• 4+ years of experience building, testing and deploying applications in high traffic production environments

• 4+ years of experience developing software with Javascript, Node.js and React

• Enjoys taking initiative, is a self-starter, willing to move fast and ship quick, and is excited about collaborating on big challenges

• Enthusiastic about working closely with product and operations team members to develop creative solutions problems particularly within the supply chain domain.

• Tech Stack: AWS, Typescript, Node.js, React

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience

• Solid software development background including serverless patterns, data structures, test driven development

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information effectively to internal and non-technical stakeholders.
