We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our team at Build a Rocket Boy. This role involves collaborating closely with C++ engineers within the Unreal environment to develop robust testing frameworks and automation processes, and with other QA and automation teams across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving quality engineering across the team, as well as in our CI/CD pipelines, contributing to automating backend, web and game components. You will help foster our commitment to delivering high-quality gaming experiences by ensuring our products are reliable and scalable. While proficiency in C++ is desirable, it is not mandatory for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and systems

  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to integrate testing processes into CI/CD pipelines

  • Work with backend and web development teams to automate and streamline platform operations

  • Help engineering teams conduct load testing to ensure scalability and performance under stress

  • Continuously improve testing strategies and tools to enhance development efficiency and product quality

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a software engineer in test or similar role

  • Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

  • Experience with automated testing of web services, APIs, and backend systems

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices

  • Knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine is highly desirable

  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and collaborate with various technical teams

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
