Oddball believes that the best products are built when companies understand and value the things they are working on. We value learning and growth and the ability to make a big impact at a small company. We believe that we can make big changes happen and improve the daily lives of millions of people by bringing quality software to the federal space.

As a Senior QA Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of an intelligent, automated solution that supports users through conversational interfaces. You’ll collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to build, maintain, and execute both manual and automated tests for a cloud-based platform powered by Dialogflow, APIs, and structured data—not speech-to-text systems. Your work will help ensure a reliable, seamless user experience across digital assistance tools.

  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases across all phases of development

  • Perform manual testing, including exploratory testing of new features

  • Design and implement a test automation framework, integrating it into the existing CI/CD pipeline

  • Validate REST APIs and underlying data integrations using structured data inputs (JSON, XML, CSV)

  • Test and validate Dialogflow-based voicebot flows to ensure expected conversational performance

  • Identify, document, and track bugs or performance issues; collaborate with devs to resolve them pre-deployment

  • Work with large datasets and ensure data-driven workflows meet quality standards

  • Contribute to a scalable QA strategy that aligns with agile development methodologies

What you’ll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in QA testing, including manual and automated methods

  • Strong understanding of Business-Driven Development (BDD) and/or Test-Driven Development (TDD)

  • Hands-on experience with automated regression testing

  • Familiarity with Python and ability to write or maintain automated test scripts

  • Strong experience with API testing, using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or similar

  • Proven ability to collaborate with developers and product teams to shape test plans early in the lifecycle

  • Experience working with structured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV)

  • Ability to select, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience testing dialog-based systems, ideally with Dialogflow

  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and documentation skills

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to work domestically

  • Must be able to attain low-level security clearance

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Benefits:

  • Fully remote

  • Yearly stipend

  • Comprehensive Benefits Package

  • Company Match 401(k) plan

  • Flexible PTO, Paid Holidays
