About the role

As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for our cloud-based POS, with a focus on payment-related topics. You will play an essential role in business development, working to improve our core product, the POS application, and finding solutions that encompass hardware, payment, and software issues for our customers.

To succeed in this role, you need to be a self-starter who loves to take ownership, who is used to a data-driven approach to product management, and capable of presenting and defending your ideas to management. You know how to tackle complex problems, effectively prioritize your roadmap, and create easy solutions with a great user experience. Your ability to translate customer needs into easy-to-understand narratives for the team ensures that we create a great product together that solves real-life problems for our merchants. 

Together with the product team, our designers, and engineers, you will be responsible for shaping the product management and business development of this domain and report directly to the Head of Product.

 

What you will do

  • Work in a cross-functional team of engineers, QA, and designers to develop a Point of Sale product for thousands of ready2order merchants

  • Be the expert about how our product and individual features work, what small business owners need in a POS solution, and how the product can be improved in the future

  • Be responsible for outlining roadmaps and strategies for our new products and features, defining requirements, goals, and constraints, all while iterating on potential solutions

  • Focus on finding and integrating new payment solutions into our product

  • Conduct user and market research in multiple industries to understand current requirements and predict future needs

  • Represent your products at a senior level to align resource allocation and prioritization of initiatives

  • Identify engineering challenges and opportunities to leverage our platform in collaboration with engineering leads from various business domains

 

What makes you ready for us

  • Great facilitation and collaboration skills, as well as technical affinity, to gather relevant feedback and input from different views and create the best possible outcome from these ideas.

  • Technical proficiency to understand our product's logic and discuss implementation ideas with developers.

  • Great communication skills to create easily understandable narratives for the team and to defend your ideas in front of senior management

  • Fluent in English, our corporate language, and German to communicate directly with our customers

  • Ideally, experience in FinTech, working on cloud-based POS, payment, or financial services 

  • Ideally, experience in working in a scale-up environment
