About the Role:

As Aspire is preparing his launch in Japan, we are looking for a solid Senior Product Manager to help us launch the best All-in-one Finance Platform in this country!

As a Country Product Manager, you will be responsible to help us better understand the Japanese Market and its customers, and build the necessary features to help Aspire win in Japan!

This role requires you to help us launch our Spend Management and Business Account Products in Japan by identifying the necessary features, the UI/UX changes, and infrastructure updates required for this. You will also lead a team composed of designers, engineers and QA as well as work closely with stakeholders beyond the product or tech team (growth, operations, legal).

  • Work closely with stakeholders across business, marketing, sales, compliance, etc. to develop a clear and compelling product strategy and vision for the payment gateway, aligned with the company's overall business goals

  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the curve in the payment gateway market.

  • Make data-driven decisions to prioritize features and improvements based on customer needs, market opportunities, technical feasibility, and business value.

  • Manage all lifecycle stages from ideation through sunset, and be responsible for ensuring that deliverables are understood, releases are delivered on time, and users are engaged

  • Lead a team of engineers and designers to make key improvements to the product

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 5 years proven working experience as a Product Manager in Payments or Fintech in Japan.

  • Fluent in English and Japanese to communicate with our Japanese customers and partners

  • Be very comfortable with technology, payment infrastructures and money flows

  • Familiar with the Japanese culture, ideally with a good understanding of Japanese UX/UI standards.

  • Demonstrated sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details

  • Ability to drive negotiations with different stakeholders to make informed trade-offs

  • Data-driven - has the ability to extract insights from raw data and communicate them clearly

  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
