You will be joining a dedicated team of professionals focused on optimizing the authentication and sign-up experience for our users while ensuring that our platform is protected from threats posed by bots and bad actors. Our team is made up of experts in identity, fraud prevention, data science, and user behavior analysis. We work collaboratively to develop and implement capabilities that delight users and thwart attackers. Our goal is to provide a safe and secure environment for our users to discover and attend events, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for this mission.
THE ROLE
You will have end to end ownership of the customer authentication and sign-up experience for millions of Eventbrite creators and attendees. You'll set a compelling long-term vision for our identity services and define the strategy, roadmap, and tactical steps to get there. You are passionate about the customer experience, comfortable balancing friction for end users with the safety and security of the platform, and adept at incorporating leading-edge identity and access management capabilities. You are comfortable making data driven product decisions supported by metrics, user research, and user behavior monitoring on our platform to identify opportunities for optimization and to minimize risk and impact from account-related attacks. This is a highly collaborative and cross-functional role in which you will work with multiple stakeholders, other product managers, engineers, data scientists, designers, and integrity operations experts, both within and across business units. Your role is critical in ensuring that our users have a seamless and reliable authentication and onboarding experience while protecting our platform from threats.
THE SKILLSET
Minimum 6 years of experience in technical product management
Experience designing, building, and managing customer identity and access management (CIAM) programs that enable a positive user experience while mitigating risk and maintaining a strong security posture
Proven experience integrating and governing identity-as-a-service providers such as Okta or Auth0
Strong knowledge of best practices in the areas of multifactor, adaptive, and passwordless authentication, identity proofing and verification, and account-related threat detection and mitigation
Consistent track record of bringing strong product thinking to internal solutions and infrastructure, encompassing build vs. buy analyses and large-scale migrations and implementations
Exceptional communication skills that enable clear articulation of vision, strategy, and execution
Strong analytical, problem solving, and quantitative skills with data-driven approach to decision-making
Strong prioritization and focus, including comfort making tradeoffs with incomplete information
Ability to influence team members across all departments and levels of the organization
Ability to rapidly understand user needs, respond to tight deadlines, and deliver solutions that drive key business metrics
Expert knowledge of modern web application design, development, security, monitoring, analysis, SDLC, and CI/CD tools
Strong experience with data structures, analytics, and AI/ML models

A work history that includes some time in engineering roles
Experience using Eventbrite’s product as a creator and/or attendee
