Senior Product Manager
This is a fully remote position and we're considering candidates in the US EST.
About Product Management: As a Product Manager at Grafana Labs, you'll develop a vision and strategy for your product domain. You will own your product’s roadmap, collateral, and market research, and you will collaborate with Grafana leadership on fine-tuning your product’s goals. You will be the primary advocate and expert in your area, with a strong ability to communicate needs, functionality, and details effectively both to external customers and internal stakeholders. The teams and people you will be interacting with will be 100% remote and globally distributed, so strong and proactive communication is essential.
Product Managers are the bridge that connect Engineering, Design, and UX to GTM. You are a facilitator who ensures the free flow of information across these teams and are expected to be technically proficient when representing our products to our customers.
The opportunity:
As the Senior Product Manager for Knowledge Graph (KG), you’ll own the entity model for Grafana Cloud that turns metrics, logs, traces, and profiles into a deterministic system of entities and relationships powering features like the Entity Catalog, Entity Map, RCA Workbench, and KG Insights.
Your primary mandate is activation and integration quality. Many Grafana Cloud products – like Application Observability and Kubernetes Monitoring — already plug into Knowledge Graph; your job is to move those integrations from partial to fully integrated and to ensure every new product builds on the graph from day one. You will define what “fully integrated” means per product (e.g., coverage, schema compliance, entity-link rates, and deduplication of modeling logic), drive the work to close gaps, and own low-friction activation so Knowledge Graph enriches the product experience automatically as customers enable different Grafana Cloud products.
Knowledge Graph is also the backbone for our AI capabilities – a deterministic graph lets Grafana Assistant and other AI features reason from structured context, so improving coverage and fidelity directly amplifies how effective and efficient our AI experiences are. Finally, you’ll own KG Insights and are responsible for defining the integration contracts so other squads can surface Insights in their UIs, ensure Insights appear automatically, and lead UX improvements to make Insights clearer and more actionable once coverage and fidelity are solved.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Transform ideas and feedback into a product vision and roadmap
Empathize with customer problems in order to collect user needs, requirements, and pain points
Curate and properly represent user feedback to Engineering, while providing evidence to support tradeoffs and priorities
Work closely with PMM to enable GTM on product differentiation, including creating and updating presentations, documentation, website content, datasheets, and whitepapers.
Use your deep product expertise to make decisions about our go-to-market strategies, pricing, packaging, licensing and tiering
What makes you a great fit:
A BS/BA in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience in Product Management
3+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS product
Experience using or building developer-facing tools, APIs, or platform services
Ability to discuss APIs, data models, schema evolution, and distributed systems concepts
Experience driving adoption of shared services or platform capabilities across multiple product teams
Experience working with Engineering and Design teams build delightful products and features – with sounds UX – in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
Bonus Points:
Systems-level thinker who understands platform leverage and architectural tradeoffs
Experience using or building observability products, either internally as an SRE or for external customers
Experience with open source software and/or commercial open source companies
Experience using or building agents, telemetry collectors, or related tools and services
Experience with OpenTelemetery protocols, receivers, and exporters
In the United States, the base compensation range for this role is $162,275- $194,730. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success. We believe in shared outcomes—RSUs help us stay aligned and invested as we scale globally.
