🚀 About Nava Benefits Nava is on a mission to provide high quality and affordable healthcare. We are doing this by helping employers get better deals on health insurance, and helping their employees navigate the complex healthcare and insurance landscape. Our AI powered platform focuses on ease to use by incredibly powerful tools that help put money back into the pockets of everyday Americans.

💡 Role Overview We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the vision and roadmap for Nava’s data platform that powers our web, mobile, and AI products. You’ll be responsible for the systems, data, and developer experience that enable every team at Nava to build faster, more reliable, and more powerful products.

This is a highly cross-functional role at the intersection of product, data, engineering, and operations. You’ll shape the data infrastructure that supports Nava’s most critical integrations, data pipelines, and internal APIs, while empowering engineers to build confidently on top of it.

🧠 What you'll do

  • Own the roadmap spanning data pipelines, integrations, and internal APIs used by our product teams to build Nava’s suite of benefits applications.

  • Drive integrations with HRIS, payroll, and insurance carrier systems to ensure consistent, trustworthy data across our platform.

  • Define metrics and SLAs for platform performance, availability, and developer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with AI engineers to ensure Nava’s data infrastructure supports AI use cases and feature development.

  • Think creatively about using AI to retrieve, transform, and clean data. Work with the engineering team to test and ship these features.

  • Oversee data ops – Design process and technology improvements, with the eventual goal of automation (using either traditional methods or AI browser use) for the last mile challenges inherent to HRIS and insurance carrier integrations.

  • Create “super fans” – Both internal and external users rely on our software for mission critical daily tasks. When we have data issues, import failures, and bugs, you will swarm with relevant stakeholders and feature teams to address these issues as quickly as possible.

🖊️ What you bring

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with 3+ in data and integrations.

  • Experience building or operating modern data pipelines (Airbyte, dbt, Dagster, or similar).

  • Solid grasp of SQL and data modeling.

  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouses and scalable data architectures.

  • Experience setting standards for data quality, validating schema changes, and monitoring for anomalies.

  • Ability to normalize and standardize diverse data sources (APIs, CSVs, S3) and manage reference data.

  • Knowledge of secure data design e.g. PII isolation, row-level security, and SOC 2 compliance.

  • Experience publishing APIs and analytical outputs to downstream systems.

  • Exposure to or curiosity about AI/LLM-powered data products and developer-facing data APIs.

🤝 Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion We believe that solving America’s healthcare problems requires leveraging our nation’s diversity. We are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive work environment and strongly encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. In this role, you will shape the core platform that enables every Nava product and team, collaborate with world-class engineers, designers, and product leaders, and contribute to mission-driven work improving transparency, access, and trust in employee benefits—all while enjoying competitive compensation, equity, and benefits. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis with no need for sponsorship now or in the future.

🩺 Benefits Health & Wellness: Medical (including a $0 premium HDHP plan), Dental, Vision, Telehealth and Virtual Primary Care Visits, OneMedical membership, Wellhub, and a $50 monthly wellness benefit. Financial Support: Stock options, 401(k) with a $2,000 match, FSA, HSA, and access to Origin Financial. Work-Life: Flexible PTO, 12 weeks paid parental leave (plus 2 weeks transition time), $50 monthly connectivity reimbursement, and company-paid short- and long-term disability plus life insurance. Professional Support: $1,000 home office setup stipend and access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
