Join Our Mission: Help the Helpers with Jane

Let's kick things off with a quick intro. Jane is a team that's all about fostering growth, spreading delight, and serving our healthcare community. We're on the hunt for people ready to jump in and join us on our mission to simplify the lives of healthcare professionals daily. Jane is a remote-first company, meaning every role at Jane, including this one, is remote.

Your Role in Our Journey

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Product Manager to drive innovation in our charting and clinical documentation capabilities at Jane. This role presents a unique opportunity to significantly reduce the cognitive load associated with electronic medical record documentation for clinicians and allied healthcare providers. At Jane, our mission is to Help the Helpers, and streamlining data entry is crucial to achieving this goal.

If you are enthusiastic about immersing yourself in clinician workflows, identifying and prioritizing transformative opportunities to enhance Jane’s charting capabilities, and thrive in a collaborative product triad environment, we encourage you to apply. Join us as we pioneer the future of efficient and seamless clinical documentation!

Learn More About Us

We’re founder-led, which means staying true to our values while keeping our eyes on the horizon. Our product enables the likes of physical therapists, mental health professionals, chiropractors and many more. It helps them to digitally streamline their practices with features like online booking, medical charting, scheduling, telehealth, secure payments and billing. Curious? Check out more features here.

We set the bar high, both for the quality of our work and how we treat each other and our customers. It's our customers who keep us striving for better, never settling for less and always improving. And for us, it’s just not about your past achievements or speedy work; we value curiosity, problem-solving skills, and an eagerness to learn.

Jane offers a level of autonomy and flexibility to balance work and life. Need to block out time to pick up the kids? Go for it. That's normal here. And yes, we have a Slack channel for parents, but we've also got channels dedicated to plants, furry friends, food, pride, wellness - you get the idea! While we love to connect virtually, the Jane team also connects in person throughout the year. That comes in the form of departmental get-togethers, company retreats, or possibly a conference or two across North America if you’re keen to learn more about our community of healthcare providers. We're on the search for folks who are ready to dive in and become part of our journey toward making healthcare professionals' lives easier.

You can also learn more about Jane as a company and a product by checking out our Glassdoor reviews and our Capterra reviews.

But let's keep it real – we're ambitious, and the mountain we're climbing is always getting taller. As we expand, we face the challenge of navigating a changing environment without a clear-cut path. That's where you come in. If you thrive on resourcefulness and relish problem-solving, you'll feel right at home.

As we move towards 2025, our goal is to create more Happier Helpers. This means not just growing in size but creating a community of thriving healthcare professionals who deliver top-notch care with Jane as their operational backbone. If you're stifled by red tape, itching for change, or simply want to make a real impact, consider Jane as the place for you.

We champion collaboration, humility, and a growth mindset. We're seeking individuals who can adapt to our dynamic work style, which often requires flexibility and a willingness to embrace change. So, if after reading this, you feel excited about the opportunity — all in the name of helping those who help others — we'd love to hear from you.

To sum it all up — if our ambition and growth excite you, if you're ready to contribute to a challenging yet rewarding environment, and if you're keen to disrupt the status quo alongside a team of talented folks, then we can't wait to meet you.

The impact you could have:

  • Lead product discovery to identify innovative solutions that improve clinical documentation and user experience.

  • Shape the future of charting by using data and trends to enhance clinical documentation practices.

  • Strategically enhance features to expand market reach and support growth into new areas.

  • Gather insights from various customer segments to boost satisfaction and loyalty among users.

  • Develop a clear strategy and roadmap to transform charting within the Jane platform, reducing documentation burdens for practitioners.

The experience we feel we need:

  • You have 4+ years as a Product Manager with a proven track record of launching new products, including at least one from concept to market.

  • You bring extensive experience in user research, data analysis, hypothesis generation, and solution testing to guide product development.

  • You have a background in clinical documentation or allied healthcare charting applications, giving you a solid understanding of industry-specific challenges.

  • You are familiar with the Canadian and/or US healthcare sectors, including diverse regulations and interactions with insurance providers.

  • You can effectively navigate challenges, fostering team alignment and collaboration to achieve shared goals.

  • You have successfully defined and executed product strategies, roadmaps, and release plans that align with organizational objectives.

  • You possess exceptional communication skills, able to convey ideas clearly and collaborate productively with internal teams and external stakeholders.

When hiring talented folks to join the Jane team, we’ve found that new team members are best set up for success when hired with the expectation of being fully accomplished in the role, which for this role would reflect a salary between 95% to 100% of the salary band. It's also possible to join Jane at a salary above or below this, which would mean a salary below 95% of the salary band which would typically reflect someone who has all the potential to be fully accomplished in the role but doesn't yet possess all the skills required.  A salary above 100% of the salary band is typically reserved for individuals who are currently in this role at Jane and have had the opportunity to make a significant positive impact on our customers, product and company by leveraging their deep Jane knowledge. At Jane, we pay for growth, which means that you’ll continue to have conversations about your career development with your manager and will see your compensation grow over time as you build an amazing career with us.
