As a Senior Payroll Specialist on the Accounting Team, you’ll be an integral part of Figma’s payroll operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in processing US payroll, posting journal entries and reconciling balance sheets. This role will collaborate closely with the Benefits, HRIS, People Ops, and Accounting teams to ensure seamless coordination across various functions. This person will report directly to the Senior Payroll Manager.
This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
Maintain, review and validate data for US payroll in Workday
Review timesheets and attendance records
Process payments for final paychecks, adjustments and special pay
Ownership of APAC payroll processing
Post journal entries related to payroll transactions
Reconcile payroll accounts and maintain accurate payroll records
Collaborate with the accounting team to address any discrepancies
Participate in audits for 401k, Workers Compensation, and general audit
Create and maintain process documentation
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
5+ years of US full-cycle multi-state payroll processing experience
Experience posting journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
Experience with payroll stock administration
Demonstrated understanding of US payroll compliance and taxes
While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
Experience with APAC payroll, specifically Japan and Singapore
Experience with payroll implementation
Experience with Workday and Netsuite
Experience at a high growth tech company or B2B SaaS company
CPP certification
