Role Summary

As a Senior Marketer on our Customer Usage Automation team, you’ll shape how customers experience HubSpot through data-driven, automated programs that accelerate product value and adoption. You’ll design communications that empower customers with timely insights, personalized recommendations, and clear next steps to help them achieve their goals. In this role, you’ll experiment boldly, collaborate deeply, and scale programs that create a more intuitive, connected customer journey across channels.
What You’ll Do
Own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and measurement of global usage automation programs that help customers understand how to grow with HubSpot.
Design, write, and build email and multi-channel communications, including positioning, segmentation, workflow logic, and basic operational setup.
Use AI- and data-powered insights to elevate personalization, targeting, and channel strategy across email, in-app messaging, and emerging surfaces.
Run experiments to optimize messaging, identify new opportunities, and continuously improve program performance and customer value.
Partner with cross-functional teams—Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and Product—to align on strategy and deliver consistent, seamless experiences.
Translate reporting and behavioral data into actionable recommendations that improve customer activation, engagement, and long-term adoption.
Innovate on new approaches, audiences, and program designs that move HubSpot toward a more self-service, customer-led experience.
What You’ll Bring
Required Qualifications
Strong passion for customer experience, with the ability to advocate for customer needs across teams.
Experience owning programs from strategy through execution, iteration, and reporting.
Ability to interpret data, diagnose performance patterns, and translate insights into program improvements.
Strong stakeholder and project management skills, with experience driving cross-functional initiatives.
Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment while balancing strategy and hands-on execution.
Background using AI or data science–powered tools to scale personalization or workflow efficiency.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Demonstrated success running marketing experiments to optimize messaging, workflows, or channel usage.
Experience with lifecycle, product, or customer marketing in a SaaS environment.
Familiarity with automation platforms, segmentation strategies, or multi-channel orchestrations.
Understanding of customer lifecycle journeys.
Where You’ll Work
Location: United States
Work Preference: Remote-friendly, with the option to work hybrid or onsite if based near our Cambridge, MA office.
Travel/Shift: None; standard business hours

The cash compensation below includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
