Key responsibilities for this role include:
100% compliant with all Company policies & procedures
Learning & Growth (eg, improve skills & abilities, develop medical expertise, Develop strategic leadership)
Operational Excellence (eg, improve operational efficiency, improve operational effectiveness, Align medical activities with overarching company strategy)
KOL Relationship Management (eg, Understand KOL medical education needs, understand competitor medical affairs educational offerings, Align KOL selection with overarching company strategy)
Innovation (eg, understand medical innovation, uniquely meet HCP innovation-based education needs, Increase use of innovative education materials)
Medical Affairs Planning & Execution: Support annual medical plan development and tracking of tactical deliverables, Manage timelines, project plans, documentation, and progress reports / dashboards.
Congress / ad board / Symposia Support: Coordinate with internal medical teams and M&E team for execution of congresses / ad boards / symposia etc., Manage FMVs, Abstracts & publications tracking
External Stakeholder Operations: Contract, onboard, and oversee vendors / agencies for medical projects.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure medical processes are aligned to SOPs, manage content review and approvals (MRC process), Manage FMV assessment, Track HCP payments, grants, sponsorship requests, and operational risk logs.
Budget, Contracting & Vendor Management: Support budget planning and quarterly forecast submissions, Track PO creation, spending, and vendor invoicing.
Perform other duties assigned
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine (mandatory). Master’s in Pharmaceutical Management / MBA (preferred). 3–8 years in Medical Affairs, Medical Operations, Compliance or any other relevant domain. Experience with MLR systems (Veeva PromoMats, Zinc, etc.) preferred. Familiarity with congress operations, medical content workflows, or HCP engagement. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
Must possess knowledge of the US Innovation Medical Operations Specialist – Pain/WH/Eyecare roles and responsibilities, clinical trials, relevant therapeutic areas, understand all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the Standards for Interactions with U.S. Healthcare Providers, Federal and State promotional laws and regulations, the PhRMA Code, ACCME Standards, and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Strong project management and multi-tasking ability. Understanding of compliance, data privacy, medical governance. Analytical skills to interpret medical insights and operational trends. Excellent verbal and written communication. Stakeholder coordination and vendor management. Proficient in Microsoft Office, dashboards; exposure to digital / CRM platforms. Driven by personal accountability & high levels of performance. Ability to set and accomplish compelling goals both individually and in a team setting. Motivated to overcome challenges, seek out opportunities, and develop both personally and professionally. Comfortable with change. Embraces the principles of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI).
Ability to read and interpret comprehensive and intricate research documents. Ability to work with executives and communicate abstract concepts. Ability to present to a high level of the organization and groups outside of the organization.
Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates, as well as perform statistical analysis. Ability to draw and interpret graphical data. Ability to understand pharmaceutical calculations is preferred.
Ability to solve problems with a variety of concrete variables through semi-standardized solutions that require some ingenuity and analysis. Ability to draw inferences and follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve moderately complex problems.
Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping. Periodic travel is required. May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Sedentary lifting requirements.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is: $95,000 - $193,000.
