What You’ll Contribute
Develop and execute a content strategy aligned to business goals and target audience needs across the customer journey.
Write, edit, and publish long-form articles, blog posts, whitepapers, landing pages, email copy, and social content focused on financial services topics This role will also be expected to develop a network of writers to provide content. The ideal candidate would source, manage, and review/edit the contract work.
Apply SEO & AIO best practices across all content — keyword research, on-page optimization, internal linking, and structured data — to drive organic growth while maintaining and enforcing editorial standards and brand voice guidelines.
Own the editorial calendar and ensure consistent, on-brand publishing cadence.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, compliance, and design to produce accurate, polished content.
Work with corporate PR and Comms teams to further boost the content through earned media channels.
Track and report on content performance (traffic, rankings, engagement, pipeline influence) and use data to inform future content decisions.
Identify content gaps and proactively pitch new ideas that address audience needs and business priorities.
Develop channel forecasts and identify trends, areas of improvement, and growth opportunities based on industry trends, technological advancements, attribution tracking, and regulatory changes impacting marketing programs.
Foster an environment of constant innovation and experimentation by championing A/B testing, exploring new formats, and piloting conversion strategies.
What We’re Seeking
Content experience in consumer facing (B2C) organization (example, NerdWallet, Credit Karma, BankRate), with a meaningful portion in consumer financial services (banking, lending, fintech, insurance, wealth management, or adjacent sectors).
Editorial background — you can write clearly and concisely, edit others' work without losing their voice, and know what makes content worth reading.
Demonstrated SEO and AIO expertise: you've done keyword research, optimized content for search, and have the rankings to show for it.
Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment — you manage your own workload, hit deadlines, and don't need a lot of hand-holding.
Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Semrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console) and content management systems.
Experience using analytics to measure content effectiveness and optimize programs over time.
Familiarity with financial services compliance and regulatory considerations (e.g., required disclosures, fair lending language, FINRA/SEC communication standards).
A portfolio of published financial services content that demonstrates range and quality.
Proven growth mindset, data driven and highly creative, with track record of delivering strong business outcomes.
Results oriented, metrics driven and continuously seeking improvement of marketing efforts to increase performance results.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with internal teams, external partners, and executive stakeholders.
Our Offer to You
An inclusive culture strongly reflecting our core values: Act Like an Owner, Delight Our Customers and Earn the Respect of Others.
The opportunity to make an impact and develop professionally by leveraging your unique strengths and participating in valuable learning experiences.
