About the Role
The Senior Manager, Accounting will report to the Global Controller and will be responsible for all aspects of the end-to-end expense/operations cycle to ensure that costs are accounted for properly. Critical to the success of the role is the ability to develop accounting organizational strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, evaluating trends, establishing critical measurements, resolving problems, and implementing change in line with organizational objectives. In this role, you will work closely with the FP&A team on monthly variance analysis, assist with providing financial projections, and with budget/forecast preparation.
This role includes responsibility for the management of the Accounts Payable team, setting KPIs and goals to ensure effective treasury management and to continue building a high-performance team, as well as managing the procurement policy across the organization.
This is a hands-on role, and we are looking for someone who has excellent problem-solving skills and who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to support our continued success and growth.
Responsibilities
Manage monthly close and ensure that all adjustments and accruals are recorded correctly in local entities and on the consolidated financials.
Prepare and review monthly expense-related analyses.
Work with the FP&A team to help provide financial projections, coordinate budget/forecast preparation, and collect, analyze, and consolidate financial information to provide the business with financial insights.
Work with the Financial Systems team to monitor and evaluate accounting systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization and support new system implementations and integrations.
Manage the Accounts Payable team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of vendor invoices, and manage issues related to vendor payments.
Review and respond to requests/inquiries from other cross-functional teams including Legal, FP&A, and Client Partners regarding expense transactions.
Help oversee overall monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting.
Help minimize legally required taxes by studying regulations, and presenting tax strategies to management.
Requirements
A CPA in good standing with a minimum of 8-10+ years of proven work experience in financial operations, managerial accounting, Big 4 audit firm, or a related finance field.
Proven people management experience.
Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through completion.
Strong experience with US GAAP and IFRS.
Advanced MS Excel skills, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the company.
Organized, detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks, and possess a strong work ethic.
A plus, if previous work experience includes Netsuite and Coupa experience.
