Newsela is seeking to hire a Contractor based out of Latin America for Senior-Level Software Engineering Services.
Scope of Services:
As a Contractor, you will help the team deliver high-quality work on time.
You will be a key contributor within a software development team and will craft great software and automated tests to assure the design and quality of your code.
You will also own the delivery of features, independently, and will provide thoughtful input that helps with scoping and design for your team.
Reporting to the Co-Founder of Formative, you will partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design to refine ambiguous work items into clearly defined, valuable work items.
You will leverage your intermediate experience in Javascript, Typescript, React, Node, GraphQL, Apollo Client, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.
Additionally, you will focus on accessibility software development using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Accessibility Testing, Storybook, and Accessible Atomic Design Systems.
On top of your technical skills, you are excited to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports continued improvement through code reviews and feedback.
Skills / Experience:
You have 3+ years of full stack experience in software development and have demonstrated success working in a software as a service (SaaS) environment.
You can leverage your intermediate experience in Javascript, Typescript, React, Node, GraphQL, Apollo Client, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.
Additionally, you have a firm understanding of accessibility including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Accessibility Testing, Storybook, and Accessible Atomic Design Systems.
On top of your technical skills, you are excited to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports continued improvement through code reviews and feedback.
