Senior IT Operations Specialist

The Senior IT Operations Specialist will oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure and Subscriptions, ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of all such Cloud Based Systems and Applications. This role involves managing Cloud Servers & Storage, SaaS Applications, and end-user support while also contributing to IT strategy and planning.

The Senior IT Operations Specialist at phData will be broadly expected to:

• Work on all kinds of IT-related projects, tasks and support requests.

• Involve actively in teams of cross-functional projects to assist solve problems inclusive of different technologies straddling multiple work groups.

• Handle organization-wide SaaS-based application projects of various complexities to ensure applications’ optimal performance and related infrastructure.

• Execute technology changes successfully by minimal downtime as well as disruption.

• Write infrastructure-related scripts to automate all manual tasks plus streamline operational activities and start the IT innovation campaign.

• Participate in ISMS Audits as and when required.

• Work as a Tech specialist and be a technical mentor to the team as and when needed.

• Technical support for all internal IT tasks, projects and infrastructure issues.

• Work in rotational shifts and provide weekend on-call rotation to support end users and provide uninterrupted global IT coverage.

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree either in Computer Science or IT preferred.

• Must have knowledge and experience on Windows 10, Windows 11, MS Intune, MS Office 365, Google workplace/Gsuite, MS Azure AD, Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019, MacOS 11 BigSur, MacOS 12 Monterey, MS Azure Sentinel, WordPress, AWS Workspace, AWS EC2, Jamf suite, Sophos endpoint security, Jira service management, MS Hyper-V, VMware fusion, VMware workstation, OpenVPN etc.

• Extensive experience and excellent troubleshooting skills on all operating systems, Laptop & Desktop hardware and other IT devices.

• Extensive experience in Servers and Virtualization. 

• Extensive experience in Network (Routing, Switching, Wireless and Security) infrastructure setup and maintenance.

• Extensive customer support experience supporting internal or external stakeholders..

• Experience in configuring and managing different SIEM and Network monitoring tools. 

• Advance knowledge and experience in cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.

• Advanced knowledge and experience in MacOS installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. 

• Experience with participating in ISMS Certification Process and/or Audits.

• A total of 6+ years of experience with at least 4 years as an System Admin or Network admin.

• Should be fine to work in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts including night shifts.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

• Detail-oriented.
