Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies, LLC is seeking a Senior GIS Business Analyst for our contract with the US Forest Service (FS) to develop an Enterprise Land Management System intended to streamline the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other processes of the land management planning cycle. The application is in active development.

Duties/ Responsibilities 

• Work with IT stakeholders to gather feedback and define that the minimum viable product (MVP) satisfies the business need

• Develop and maintain requirements documentation (process diagrams, use cases, user stories, RTMs, etc.)

• Identify and document current and future state process workflows and data flows.

• Modify, document, and review business requirements, functional requirements and technical specifications needed for project documents. Execute change control on approved documents.

• Work with Scrum team (developers, Product Owner, tester) and stakeholders to ensure the application designs meet business requirements

• Lead clarification and validation of requirements during the development and delivery of the solution

• Efficiently manages time on tasks

• Must have strong communication skills and be able to work independently

• Assumes responsibility for project tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely fashion

• Provide Business Analyst support for an application that has a geospatial component and is in active development

Required Skills/Abilities

• Experience working in an agile environment

• Ability to write user stories

• Experience with software implementation projects

• Ability to create client-ready documentation/deliverables

• Experience collecting and managing requirements from stakeholders

• Ability to handle multiple project assignments

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Understands the Software Development Lifecyle concepts and process

• Experience with cloud-based GIS solutions and geospatial web services

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in GitHub

• Experience working for Federal or State govt is preferred

Education and Experience:

• 7+ years of relevant project experience

• Bachelor of Science in business analysis, business administration, IT, or any related field

Travel:

• Very infrequent travel is possible

Clearance Requirement:

• Public Trust

Salary:

• $110k - 120k
