The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Fraud and Chargebacks Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for influencing and optimizing fraud detection and chargeback management strategies, conducting detailed analysis to identify patterns and emerging threats, and generating actionable insights to enhance our fraud prevention and chargeback processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can lead investigations, mentor junior analysts, and drive improvements in our fraud management systems.

What You'll Do:

  • Influence and optimize fraud detection and chargeback management strategies which includes rules management, model training, and in depth analysis.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of fraud and chargeback data to identify patterns and emerging threats generating detailed reports and actionable insights for senior management.

  • Assist in developing a detailed understanding of the business impacts of fraud and chargebacks.

  • Lead investigations into high-value or complex fraud cases and manage internal escalations.

  • Provide guidance and resolution for outlier cases that require additional scrutiny.

  • Identify inefficiencies in current processes recommending improvements, automation, and/or new technologies.

  • Recommend and support the integration of automation tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

  • Assist in the creation and updating of company policies related to fraud prevention and chargeback management.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior analysts, helping them develop their skills and knowledge.

  • Continuously monitor industry trends and provide recommendations.

  • Expected to take initiative and lead projects or initiatives related to fraud prevention and chargeback management.

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 4 years in a data and/or analyst role within ecommerce, payments, or fraud industries.

  • Demonstrated track record of handling complex fraud cases and chargeback disputes.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and data visualization tools, with a preference for intermediate SQL proficiency

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data.

  • Adept at understanding the sources of fraud and creating rules to train fraud detection models.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and accountable for individual and team objectives.

  • Experience with automation tools and technologies to enhance fraud detection and chargeback management.

  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements in fraud management.

At Gametime pay ranges are subject to change and assigned to a job based on specific market median of similar jobs according to 3rd party salary benchmark surveys. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
