Under senior director leadership, lead, manage, plan, produce, implement, and analyze internal and external communications strategies and tactics for projects, programs, and services related to the VSP Vision employee experience and employment branding, with discrete audience and talent market segments and varied channels.

Develops and drives highest-risk, highest-opportunity employee experience and communication strategies, working with partners in multiple business operations across the enterprise as necessary to achieve stated objectives and enterprise goals

Works closely with executive leaders and support staff to develop and prioritize holistic employee experience and communication programs that meet enterprise and company objectives, including those in the areas of employee engagement, enablement, recognition, and belonging

Collaborates with Organizational Effectiveness team on Employee Listening Strategy and other organizational effectiveness work, communicating segment expectations, needs, behaviors, and attitudes, and uncovering actionable insights to drive improvements in the employee experience

Serves as internal communications and employee experience senior partner, accountable for development, design, and execution of highly complex and/or confidential plans and ensuring that processes and systems align with strategy

Identifies business opportunities and manages major initiatives informed by research and analysis of trends and opportunities to understand evolving employee experience expectations; delivers related recommendations and implementation plans

Deploys and designs employee email campaigns in partnership with senior leadership, HRIS, and enterprise business partners

As needed, manages consultant resources or partner teams; recommends and influences approach and assesses the resources required for success

Partners with internal/external business partners to ensure employment branding opportunities, including workplace awards, are aligned, effective, and further our employment brand

Leverages listening strategy data and industry trends, helps develop employment branding and engagement standards and programs, coordinates with business partners in creating and deploying brand-building communication programs; educates business partners on employment brand related issues and opportunities

Serves as a SME to senior leaders, project management teams, and other communication managers, demonstrating the department's best practices in all areas of internal communications and employee experience and advocating for an optimal employee experience and change management practices                                                                                                                                       

Provides oversight to ensure strategic alignment, priorities, processes, and timelines are met                              

Develops innovative processes and workflows that drive operational efficiency and excellence, and increase ROI on communication tools, vendors, and systems; manages applicable budget

May lead functional teams and/or projects

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Human Resources or related experience

Eight years’ experience in internal communications and change management work, through a variety of mediums and customized content to varied employee audiences

Eight or more years demonstrated experience with program management and leadership skills including the ability to recommend strategic direction and influence communication

Skill to effectively use a variety of communication mediums and customize content for targeted audiences

Ability to use creative ideas to research, present and recommend employee experience proposals

Ability to problem solve, manage multiple projects simultaneously, plan strategically and adapt to frequent change

Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to quickly build business acumen and relationships

Strong writing, editing, communication, presentation, organization, and planning skills. Ability to write documentation and reports that are clear, complete, and understood by both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to organize individual responsibilities for multiple tasks, resulting in the timely and accurate completion and delivery tasks

Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management, to foster collaboration amongst business partners and coordinate internal as well as external resource/workload

Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment the in performance of his/her job duties

Ability to work with individuals from all levels of organization

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, employment branding platforms, and desktop publishing applications

For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment

Compensation range for the role is listed below. Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets.Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Salary Ranges: $84,000.00 - $141,750.00
