Senior Director of Solution Engineering Enablement

Summary The Sr. Director of Solution Engineering Enablement will work cross-functionally to create the global enablement strategy and programs to drive scalable ARR growth across the Workiva Platform. As the Sr. Director, you will be responsible for developing the strategy and creating best in class learning experiences for our global solutions engineering audiences, both direct and partner.
What You’ll Do:
Create a phased enablement strategy to align with the strategic goals of the Global Solution Engineering organization
Build and lead a global team (both direct-reporting and cross-functional) capable of delivering one-to-many and one-to-one learning experiences including ILT both in-person, and virtual, as well as on-demand learning
Work closely with product management, marketing, partner, and engineering teams to turn technical features/functions into pre-sales and sales-specific content
Support the planning, coordination, prioritization and execution of training activities such as webinars, onboarding, certification and ongoing readiness on key releases
Create and maintain learning assets through internal and partner facing platforms
Develop, maintain, and report on key KPIs for enablement programs that align to leading indicators of revenue
Participate actively in global sales calls, regional meetings and forecasts to provide updates on enablement programs and identifying needs from the field
Communicate daily with the Global Solution Engineering team to ensure strategic alignment
What You’ll Need
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience in Solution Engineering or Solution Engineering Enablement, Master’s degree with 10 years, or PhD with 8 years
Experience enabling Solution Engineering teams on a platform sale with multiple C-Level economic buying audiences
Experience working within a global organization
Experience with Salesforce.com
Experience working in Learning Management and Experience Platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years direct people management experience preferred, including leading of Directors and Managers
2+ years Solution Engineering Management experience preferred
Experience working with tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, SalesLoft, or Highspot is preferred
Proven track record of building and maintaining scalable programs
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries required
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical buyers
Outstanding time management skills - strong business acumen with an ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks
Proven track record of building, leading, and mentoring a high performing team
Travel Requirements
Ability to travel globally up to 30%
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
How You’ll Be Rewarded:
Salary range in the US:
$174,000.00 - $296,000.00
A discretionary bonus typically paid annually
Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire
401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits package
The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and other relevant factors.
