Data Engineering is responsible for the development and delivery of our most important asset - our data. Looking across thousands of data sources from across the globe, the data engineering team is responsible for making sense out of that data to create the world’s most extensive and comprehensive knowledge base of healthcare stakeholders and the ecosystem they influence. It is our job to ensure that only accurate, normalized data flows through to our customers, and at a velocity that keeps up with the changes in the real world. As we rapidly expand the markets we serve and the breadth and depth of data we want to collect for our customers, the team must grow and scale to meet that demand.

Your ability to see the big picture and raise project risks early will be crucial to the success of our projects. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to setting high engineering standards across the team.

You will:

- Understand end-user needs and ensure that your work directly contributes to delivering impactful solutions. Collaborate with Product Managers and team leads to prioritize tasks that enhance user experience and meet strategic goals.

- Work autonomously on projects, demonstrating the ability to unblock yourself and drive tasks to completion with minimal guidance.

- Maintain a big-picture perspective and coordinate work that spans multiple teams, ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.

- Identify and communicate project-level risks early, working proactively to mitigate issues and ensure successful project delivery.

- Lead the “Understand” phase of projects, producing comprehensive documentation and aligning with relevant stakeholders on technical requirements and project scope.

- Decompose OKRs into actionable tasks and collaborate with junior engineers to ensure they have a clear understanding of their work.

- Partner with PMs and technical leads to prioritize initiatives that maximize end-user impact and organizational benefit.

- Uphold high standards for clean code, thorough code reviews, and robust technical designs. Drive the adoption of best practices and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, focusing on enhancing their technical skills and maintaining a high engineering bar.
