Senior Data Analyst
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced senior data analyst to elevate our end-to-end visibility into and understanding of business performance, tying product and marketing metrics to financial outcomes in order to drive commercial strategy and align stakeholders. In this role, you will work closely with partners across the organization to extract insights from Zepz's rich and complex data. You will also work with leaders to translate business needs into data problems. You will design and build data models, metrics, and dashboards to inform day-to-day operations as well as long-term strategy. This role is for someone who thrives on solving complex problems, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving impact by delivering self-service analytics solutions and actionable business recommendations through analyses and data storytelling.
What you will own:
Reporting to the Head of Insights, you will:
Partner closely with Product and Marketing stakeholders to define and refine metrics that provide visibility and explainability into Zepz’s financial performance and drive measurable improvements in key outcomes;
Design, implement, and maintain data transformation models, dashboards, and analytical frameworks to generate actionable insights about Zepz’s business health;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic insights, benchmarks, and analyses that guide decisions for fiscal year planning, including customer segmentation, target setting, and market expansion strategies;
Build and maintain executive reporting to be leveraged in ongoing business reviews to monitor top company KPIs and strategic objectives;
Enable stakeholders and partners by building self-service tooling and providing training to empower teams to be data-literate and self-sufficient in autonomous reporting capabilities.
What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field;
4+ years experience in data analysis, analytics engineering, and/or data science roles, building data modeling workflows (using dbt, for example, or other data platform tooling) and analyzing large datasets to solve problems;
Expert SQL skills; proficiency in Python preferable;
Strong statistical knowledge;
Expertise in visualization and surfacing insights using a BI platform (e.g. Mode, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.);
Proven ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with great attention to detail;
Ability to clearly communicate results and drive impact;
Comfortable collaborating across functions to identify data analytics problems and execute solutions with technical rigor and thoughtful analysis.
