Lovelytics is seekingan ambitious data engineer who is comfortable working in a client-facing role, to join our Data & AI team and work on strategic Databricks and other data engineering projects.

This Level 2 will primarily focus on participating in engagements with clients related to data warehousing, ETL development, data integrations, and data modeling.In addition to the technical capabilities for this role, we are looking for someone who wants to work in a collaborative, dynamic, and inclusive environment and has a passion Location: This role is open to remote candidates in the US and Toronto, Canada. This role is not eligible for candidates requiring sponsorship in order to work in the US.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize consulting and technical skills to be able to work in a client-facing project environment

  • Be responsible for the execution of client engagements as assigned and under the supervision of the engagement lead

  • Collaborate with other team members to successfully deliver on projects

  • Work effectively and directly with both internal and client and/or partner teams

  • Supportdata integration efforts using cloud services.

  • DeliverETL/ELT pipelines for small-scale projects independently.

  • Actively contributed to data warehousing initiatives.

  • Apply your skills withDatabricks, using Python, and big data streaming to pioneer client technologies and data.

Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 2-3yrs' experience in data engineering and big data in a professional setting. Preferably with1 year of working directly with clients and external stakeholders.

  • Extensiveknowledge of data warehousing concepts andhands-on experience deploying pipelines using Databricks and/or Spark a MUST

  • Proficiency in programming languages: Writing and debugging Python, SQL, and possibly Scala code.

  • Basic data modeling and database design skills and knowledgeof version control

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Databricks certification a plus
