Role Summary

Cyderes is seeking a Senior Consultant to support Professional Services engagements focused on SIEM, network security, and broader security architecture initiatives. This role is highly client-facing and requires strong technical expertise, consulting experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable solutions.

The Senior Consultant will lead technical delivery efforts, contribute to solution design, and mentor junior consultants while ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Client Engagement & Delivery

• Lead and support implementation projects across SIEM, network security, and related security technologies.

• Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into detailed solution designs.

• Deploy, configure, tune, and optimize SIEM platforms and security controls.

• Support log onboarding, use case development, alert tuning, and dashboard/report creation.

• Provide network security design and implementation support (firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, etc.).

• Deliver technical workshops and knowledge transfer sessions to clients.

• Develop clear documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and implementation guides.

• Technical Leadership

• Serve as a technical escalation point for complex implementation challenges.

• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to best practices development.

• Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, and delivery methodologies.

• Assist sales and pre-sales teams with scoping, solution validation, and effort estimation when needed.

• Strategic Advisory

• Provide recommendations for improving client security posture.

• Align implementations with industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls).

• Support clients in operationalizing and maturing their security programs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting or hands-on security engineering.

• Strong experience implementing and supporting SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, LogRhythm, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, segmentation).

• Experience onboarding and parsing log sources (cloud, endpoint, network, application).

• Strong understanding of security operations, detection engineering, and incident response.

• Experience working in client-facing consulting roles.

• Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
