Zencore is a fast-growing company founded by former Google Cloud leaders, architects, and engineers. We are seeking candidates with significant experience in Google Cloud to join our team. Our engagements aim to eliminate obstacles, reduce risk, and accelerate timelines for customers transitioning to Google and seeking assistance with data and application modernization. We embed within customer teams to provide strategic guidance, facilitate technology decisions, and execute projects in a collaborative, co-development style.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will work closely with fast-paced, innovative companies where cloud is a key driver of transformation.

This is a highly hands-on role — you will actively design, build, migrate, and troubleshoot infrastructure and applications in Google Cloud environments.

You’ll be expected to operate across a wide range of topics, including infrastructure, networking, application architecture, and modernization — not just CI/CD or tooling.

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure in Google Cloud

• Migrate applications from on-premise environments or other cloud providers (AWS, Azure) to GCP

• Work on application modernization using containers, Kubernetes, and serverless technologies

• Troubleshoot complex systems across infrastructure, networking, databases, and applications

• Collaborate directly with customer teams to guide architecture and technical decisions

• Build automation and infrastructure as code using modern tooling

• Act as a trusted technical advisor, bringing clarity to ambiguous problems

Who we need...

• 3+ years of experience working with a major public cloud platform (GCP preferred)

• Experience migrating applications from data centers or other cloud providers (AWS, Azure) to Google Cloud

• Strong hands-on experience building and deploying cloud infrastructure

• Solid understanding of core infrastructure components, including:

  • Networking (VPCs, routing, firewalls, load balancing)

  • Compute and storage systems

  • Databases (SQL/NoSQL)

  • Application architecture and system interactions

• Experience working with traditional data center environments (VMware, physical servers, storage, networking)

• Experience with infrastructure as code and automation

• Ability to write scripts in at least one language (Python, Bash, or similar)

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerization is a plus

• Comfortable working directly with clients and communicating technical concepts
