Senior Business Systems Analyst

About the Role

As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in defining requirements and shaping the AI-driven future of JustAnswer’s Analytics and Experimentation platforms. You will work closely with Analytics, Machine Learning, and cross-functional Engineering teams to ensure our data and experimentation platforms are high-quality, AI-enabled, and lean.

This role is critical for driving the adoption of AI tooling, improving experiment workflows, supporting data platform enhancements, and ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance across systems.

What You’ll Do

AI Analytics Tooling (30%)

• Evaluate and pilot AI tools (e.g., ADI Bot, Databricks Agents) and design future enhancements.

• Define adoption metrics and collect user feedback.

• Create enablement materials and promote AI-driven workflow improvements.

Experimentation Platform Support & Optimization (25%)

• Support A/B testing frameworks and validate experiment configurations.

• Partner with Analytics, Engineering, and Machine Learning to improve experimentation workflows.

• Recommend tooling enhancements and streamline experiment lifecycle processes.

Data Platform Analysis & Metadata Governance (25%)

• Evaluate and design enhancements for current data platform offerings (Google Analytics, Internal Data, PostHog).

• Promote adoption of OpenMetadata and improve metadata coverage.

• Design and track AI readiness through documentation scores, dataset lineage, and other readiness metrics.

• Work with platform teams to enforce data standards and governance.

Data Quality Support (10%)

• Review data quality audits and communicate results across teams.

• Maintain data health scorecards and identify recurring issues.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize and resolve data quality issues.

Regulatory Compliance & Requirements Management (10%)

• Translate regulatory obligations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) into system requirements.

• Work with Legal, Security, and Data Engineering on compliance controls.

• Document workflows, maintain audit artifacts, and support periodic reviews.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis and/or database analysis, including end-to-end business requirements identification and gathering.

• Ability to query, analyze, and troubleshoot datasets using SQL.

• Experience with agile software development.

• Hands-on use of AI tools within analytics or data engineering workflows.

• Basic experience with a modern software development language (Python, C#, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript).

• Strong knowledge of Experimentation methodology/platforms

• Understanding of documentation standards, lineage, data quality audits, and governance processes.

• Сonceptual thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills with proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and analytics teams.

• Desire and ability to lead, advocate for features, and make data-driven recommendations.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines while managing multiple projects.

• English proficiency (at least strong upper-intermediate level).
