Senior Analyst - Sales Compensation

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, fast-learning Senior Analyst, Sales Compensation to join our team at EDB. This position reports to the USA-based Senior Manager, Sales Compensation and is a key contributor to the accuracy and timeliness of EDB's incentive compensation process. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with proven analytical skills, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What your impact will be
Compensation Plan Administration: Lead the administration of complex, global sales compensation plans, including incentive compensation, bonus, and accelerator calculations for a diverse sales organization.
System Management (Salesforce SPIFF): Serve as a primary administrator and subject matter expert (SME) for the SPIFF compensation platform. Responsibilities include plan configuration, data integrity management, system testing, and troubleshooting.
Inquiry & Dispute Resolution: Manage the investigation and resolution of complex incentive compensation inquiries and disputes, ensuring professional, timely, and accurate adjustments while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders
Compliance & Governance: Ensure all compensation calculations and system configurations adhere to corporate policies and plan documents.
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Serve as the India team's senior-most expert and primary mentor for compensation processes. Proactively train and support colleagues, with the clear expectation of moving into a formal supervisory role as the team expands.
Analysis & Reporting: Conduct analysis of sales performance and compensation data to identify trends, accurately forecast incentive compensation payouts, and prepare insights for review by executive sales and finance leadership.
Process Optimization & Innovation: Proactively identify, design, and implement opportunities to streamline and automate sales compensation processes, significantly enhancing efficiency, scalability, and accuracy across the function.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Revenue Operations, Finance, Accounting, and HR to ensure data integrity, process alignment, and compliance across all compensation activities.
Plan Documentation & Support: Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for the global sales team regarding plan details, policies, and system mechanics.
What you will bring:
6+ years of direct experience in sales compensation administration, finance, or a related Sales Operations function.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Direct, hands-on experience with Salesforce SPIFF or expertise with other automated incentive compensation (ICM) platforms (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, CaptivateIQ).
Proficiency with Salesforce (CRM) and NetSuite (ERP) systems.
Demonstrated high attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A demonstrated growth mindset with a proactive approach to identifying system and process gaps and driving continuous improvement.
A strong, articulated desire to grow into a people management and leadership role.
