The Security Engineering organization exists to ensure that Netflix can appropriately address top enterprise security risks while maintaining overall business agility, velocity, and scale.
The Application and Infrastructure Security (AIS) team within Security Engineering aims to manage risk in our engineering ecosystem through strategic security initiatives in high-risk or high-leverage areas. We conduct risk discovery, security strategy development and execution, identification and execution of high impact security initiatives across Netflix applications and infrastructure.
We are looking for a Security Engineer to join the team to work closely with our infrastructure, platform, and network engineering teams to help evolve our security strategy in these areas to meet dynamic business demands. You will partner closely with engineering teams and other security functions to improve security at Netflix.

Execution, Collaboration, Influence, and Decision Making:
Experience with an engineering-focused approach to infrastructure, platform, and application security.
Demonstrated skill and judgment in prioritizing, influencing, and driving remediation and risk reduction strategies at scale through complex organizations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an ability to articulate security objectives to a variety of audiences.
Can build understanding and develop sound security strategies amidst ambiguity.
Comfortable both driving broad initiatives and digging deep in technical domains.
Security Domain Expertise:
Security architecture, threat modeling, secure design.
Experience conducting security assessments and developing, then driving remediation.
Platform security, e.g. securing critical control planes, interconnected services, API security, and secure-by-default practices.
Operating systems security, e.g. hardening, patch and vulnerability management, access management, monitoring.
Network security strategy, e.g. zero trust architecture, secure network design and management.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
