  • Designing and delivering advanced Salesforce solutions and integrations with other critical business systems

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations) to translate business needs into a prioritized engineering backlog and delivery plan.

  • Provide technical leadership on complex challenges by contributing to solution design, reviewing code, and guiding implementation across the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Own operational excellence for the team, including sprint planning, capacity management, removing blockers, and ensuring high-velocity, high-quality delivery.

  • Establish and enforce engineering best practices, including source control, continuous integration and continuous deployment, release management, code quality, and platform governance.

  • Lead large-scale programs and integrations across Salesforce and other key business systems, introducing automation and process improvements to help GitLab scale.

What you'll bring

  • 7+ years of progressive Demonstrated experience in Salesforce development and architecture, building scalable solutions that support go-to-market systems.

  • 2+ years of Demonstrated experience managing or leading technical teams, with a track record of coaching, giving actionable feedback, and growing team members.

  • Strong proficiency with Salesforce technologies including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and SOQL, and the ability to guide design and code review decisions.

  • Strong command of Salesforce DevOps practices, including Git-based source control, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), and reliable release management.

  • Experience designing and overseeing integrations between Salesforce and other business systems, including using integration platform as a service (iPaaS) tools and automation solutions.

  • Ability to translate stakeholder needs into a prioritized engineering backlog, balancing long-term platform health with near-term business outcomes.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations.

  • Comfort working in a remote, asynchronous environment, with a passion for using AI-native solutions to improve team productivity and the systems you build.
