Job Summary
The future is bright for the Porch Group, and we’d love for you to be a part of it as our Sales Operations Specialist. This remote role is essential for optimizing our sales processes and enhancing overall efficiency. The Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for Sales Analytics, daily reporting, Agent segmentation, Sales Establishment/licensing reporting, sales forecasting, Establishment/licensing reporting, commission analysis, and other analytics and budgeting activities. This position reports to the Finance department but will work closely with the Sales team to provide crucial support in driving sales performance and operational excellence.
This role requires strong business acumen, keen attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent project management, Excel and data mining skills. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, communicating with multiple business partners, deep-dive analytics, and an effective communicator.
We are looking for someone who loves partnering with others, as well as forecasting and providing analysis to drive decision making.
What You Will Do as a Sales Operations Analyst
Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Analyze historical sales data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for future sales strategies.
Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to monitor performance against targets.
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all sales-related reports and dashboards.
Perform various ad-hoc analyses to support sales strategies and initiatives.
Utilize data-driven insights to recommend improvements in sales processes and operational efficiency.
Conduct detailed analysis of sales commissions to ensure accurate calculation and payment.
Work closely with the finance and sales teams to resolve any discrepancies and improve commission structures.
Tiering and segmentation work around future appointment and pay for performance incentive modeling
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline sales operations.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for sales processes.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of sales budgets.
Track actual performance against budgeted targets and report variances.
Work closely with the Sales team to understand their needs and provide necessary analytical support.
Collaborate with other departments, such as Marketing, Customer Service, and IT, to ensure alignment of sales operations with company goals.
What You Will Bring as a Sales Operations Analyst
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
4+ years’ experience in sales operations, financial analysis, or a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Experience with sales forecasting, budgeting, and commission analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with homeowners’ insurance or the broader insurance industry is a plus.
Proven experience working with US based business teams
Excellent written and communication skills, both English and Hindi
Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap
Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload
