About CitySwift
CitySwift is the world’s leading performance optimisation platform for public transport, enabling data-driven decision-making for some of the largest transport networks globally. Backed by over €15 million in venture capital funding, we partner with major public transport operators and government authorities, including Go-Ahead Group, Transport for London, and many more. CitySwift is experiencing accelerated growth, with 117% year-over-year revenue growth in 2025.
Our mission is to increase the adoption of sustainable public transport worldwide. Today, our platform optimises more than 3 billion passenger journeys annually, and our target is to reach 10 billion journeys by the end of 2026.
At CitySwift, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership, make a measurable impact, and grow professionally as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team. Join us in shaping the future of public transport by driving the next phase of CitySwift’s growth.
How we work CitySwift is headquartered in Ireland, with our second office hub in London. We also have team members based in Australia, Singapore and across parts of the EU.
Hybrid working is the default in Ireland (with some exceptions), with remote and hybrid options across the UK and beyond. All roles have core hours of 10am to 4pm, giving you flexibility around how you structure your day. Collaboration really matters to us, with quarterly and bi-monthly meet-ups depending on your department or area of work, but we’re sensible about it – we won’t ask you to come into the office to tick a box. Our offices are designed for proper collaboration (and are dog friendly!).
We also believe trust and rest matter. Annual leave starts at 25 days, and our work abroad programme gives you the option to work from another country for up to six weeks. We move fast, expect a lot from each other and back people to do their best work.
The role This role exists because of growth. You’ll be stepping into real problems that matter now, not hypotheticals, and will be expected to make things better, faster and more scalable.
Primary Markets: France, Spain, Portugal & BNLX
What you’ll own
CitySwift is looking for a high-calibre Sales Director to lead our expansion into the heart of Mainland Europe. You will be responsible for securing 'Top 15' ICP accounts across France, Iberia, and the Benelux regions, transforming how the continent’s largest transport networks use predictive simulations to drive reliability and efficiency.
CitySwift is at a pivotal moment. We’ve proven our ROI with the world’s most demanding transport bodies, including Transport for London and global transport operators, and now we’re ready to dominate Mainland Europe.
As Sales Director, you won't just be managing a territory; you’ll be building a legacy. We need a 'hunter' who understands that France and Spain are ripe for innovation. You’ll be walking into Keolis, Transdev or Alsa not as a stranger, but as a partner they already trust, armed with a proven and market leading platform and team of domain experts. If you have the industry network and the technical gravitas to lead C-suite conversations in Paris, Madrid, or Amsterdam, we want you to lead our European charge.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Entry: Own the Go-To-Market strategy for some of Europe’s most complex transit markets, navigating the unique dynamics of both franchised and commercial environments.
Global-to-Local Leverage: Utilise CitySwift’s established Tier-1 relationships in the UKI and APAC to accelerate sales cycles with European-headquartered transport groups.
Expert Solution Selling: Move beyond 'analytics' to sell an end to end
Performance Optimisation Platform. You’ll evangelise our Data Engine and Evolve simulation modules as mission-critical tools for faster decision making and improved network performance
Authority & Operator Collaboration: Position CitySwift as the 'single source of truth,' enabling better contractual governance for Authorities (PTAs) and operational excellence for Operators (PTOs).
Key Requirements
Regional Expertise: Native or business-level fluency in French is required; Spanish, Portuguese, or Dutch is a significant advantage.
Industry Pedigree: A robust existing network within the Top 15 PTOs and PTAs in target regions. You don't just know who the decision-makers are; you have them on speed dial.
Technical Authority: Ability to lead deep-dive conversations on data quality, simulation logic (Evolve), and the 'Data Engine' advantage over legacy tools.
Complexity Specialist: Experience closing six figure ARR deals involving multiple stakeholders, technical data integrations, business case preparation, and complex procurement frameworks.
What you’ll get at CitySwift
A role with real scope, where your impact is visible, your salary is reviewed as we grow, and there are career progression opportunities as the company scales and internationalises.
Comprehensive health and life insurance through Laya Healthcare in Ireland and Aviva in the UK.
Flexible working with hybrid working as the default in Ireland, core hours of 10am to 4pm, remote options depending on role and a work abroad programme of up to 6 weeks.
25 days annual leave from day one, increasing by half a day per year of service, plus company days off, a half day before public holidays and an end of year shutdown.
Enhanced family leave, including 6 months fully paid maternity leave and 3 weeks paid paternity leave after 18 months’ service (and wedding leave!)
And on top of all of this, the usuals done well. A matching pension scheme that increases with service, paid sick leave, bike to work scheme, wellbeing supports, and an employee referral programme with rewards of up to €4,000 (or equivalent) per referral.
