Position Overview
The Revenue Cycle Specialist will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on order to cash handling tasks. This position will collaborate with team leadership, help support team projects and initiatives, and regularly collaborate cross-functionally to support the Revenue Cycle and Order to Cash functions.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
Serve as a process SME to internal department team members on internal processes and source documents.
• Perform all team essential duties proficiently; including resolution of all Revenue processes, handling queues in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, and troubleshooting patient claims, charges, and appeal processes.
• In collaboration with leadership, support management of workflows and team resource allocation. •
• Attend and co-facilitate associated meetings with internal departments. Utilize Microsoft Office and EMR reporting tools to support team initiatives and leadership requests. •
• Participate in cross-department project initiatives, as needed. Perform all duties and document all information according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and workflows. •
• Ability to support work queue turnaround time requirements.
• Ability to actively contribute in the process improvement process.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent analytical skills; ability to understand business processes.
• Disciplined, self-motivated, and reliable.
• Ability to problem solve and stay organized.
• Ability to stay focused on a task and work independently.
• Ability to stay motivated, keep a positive attitude, and perform quality work. • Ability to be punctual and complete tasks that are assigned in a timely manner. Ability to adapt to changing workload and circumstances effectively; able to respond to new information quickly.
• Ability to act in a professional manner in all interactions with members of the Exact Sciences teams, clients, and associates.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact and build strong working relationships with peers at all levels of the organization. •
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to convey process updates. Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
• Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. •
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work designated schedule.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed. Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
• You will be required to successfully complete all Epic trainings for TOQ and PFS work queues.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• 2+ years of experience in a contact center, data entry, or customer service environment. 2+ years of experience in multiple computer systems; including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Epic, and Onbase. •
• 1+ years of experience working in a medical data entry environment utilizing EMR systems.
• Proven ability to solve complex problems related to overall workflow processes.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA Laws.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, medical billing, and insurance terms.
• Working knowledge of laboratory terminology. Proficient in Adobe Acrobat; with a demonstrated ability to navigate multiple systems within order workflow and manipulate files into PDF.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation. •
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with project-based work.
• Peer mentorship experience.
• Experience supporting multiple work streams concurrently.
• Process documentation experience with Microsoft Visio or similar programs.
The base pay for this position is
$20.50 – $41.00/hourIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
