Revenue Accountant

Review revenue contracts, sales orders and renewals to determine proper revenue recognition accounting treatment Review revenue transactions in the accounting system Prepare monthly journal entries with regards to revenue, deferred revenue, or unbilled transactions Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations Responsible for certain monthly close activities as they relate to revenue recognition Manage complex accounts that require research and collaboration with various stakeholders Streamline existing policies, processes, controls and recommend value-added changes Initiate, assist and implement automation whenever possible Participate in various projects Research technical accounting guidance and propose accounting conclusions Participate in audits Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field Progressive accounting experience with understanding of the revenue and order to cash cycles CPA or CPA candidate preferred Experience reviewing and analyzing sales contracts preferred Experience with large ERP system, NetSuite preferred Experience with Salesforce is a plus Works well in team environment, as well as independently in a fast-paced, high growth environment Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people at varying levels within the organization Ability to think critically and learn quickly Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail, accuracy and completeness in work quality Ability to multi-task to address high priority items Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high quality solutions Advanced Excel skills are vital to this role
