As QA Lead at Namecheap, you will be responsible for Quality Assurance processes for a set of Mobile applications. The team develops Thunderbolt, a revolutionary app that uses domains as IDs to enable communication without phone numbers or emails. This marks a significant leap in internet privacy and has the potential to impact millions of users worldwide.

Location: Hybrid or 100% remote! 

Interview Process: This is a 4 stage process: A 45-minute HR conversation ➡️ A 1h Technical & Values discussion ➡️ A 1h30 Technical interview ➡️ 1h Cultural fit interview 

Reporting to:  Vânia Marques, QA Lead

Your team: 19 people (2 Technical Leads, 1 Project Manager, 1 Product Owner, 1 Backend Developer, 3 Frontend Developers, 3 iOS Developers, 3 Android Developers, 4 Quality Assurance Analysts and YOU!)

What will you do?

  • Manage and develop the QA team, fostering growth and expertise

  • Establish efficient Quality Assurance processes for a suite of mobile applications

  • Ensure all development work is validated from planning through to release

  • Oversee the QA aspects of release preparation, guaranteeing the quality of mobile apps in public releases

  • Promote transparency in QA efforts and make quality a shared priority across teams

  • Drive continuous improvement of QA processes within the team

  • Contribute to the development of the mobile automation strategy, ensuring alignment with overall QA objectives and product goals

What will you bring?

  • Proven experience in managing teams of 5 or more members

  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and lifecycle processes

  • Advanced understanding of software testing methodologies and techniques

  • Extensive experience testing mobile and web applications

  • Proficiency in requirements analysis and estimation

  • Skilled in writing and maintaining test documentation, including bug reports, test cases, and checklists, with experience using bug-tracking systems

  • Experience in backend testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger (REST API)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control systems (VCS)

  • Hands-on experience testing client-server architectures

  • Proficiency with proxy tools

  • Knowledge of SQL scripting and database structures

  • Experience with logging and monitoring systems (e.g., Kibana, New Relic)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with test automation using JavaScript/TypeScript
