Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
We’re building a Launch function to help our users on their Stripe onboarding journey. The team will be at the forefront of driving growth – analyzing what’s working well that we want to replicate, figuring out where people might be getting stuck, designing automated and targeted journeys for all users, and building out a multi-faceted team of user content creators, data analysts, program managers, integration engineers, and launch managers.
This is a new team (Head of Launch is already in seat, and hiring is underway for the initial group of individual contributors), which means it’s an incredible opportunity for an entrepreneurial program manager to help shape and build it from the ground up, partnering closely with Sales and Product leadership to shape the overall strategy and drive execution.
We are looking for a self-starter who is passionate about solving hard problems, driving work across varied interfaces, detail oriented, analytical and has demonstrated success building new teams in ambiguous, high-growth environments.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Program Manager on our Launch team, partnering directly with the Head of the Launch team to define and implement the strategy, coordinate the Launch team’s user facing activities, and drive complex initiatives with our internal go-to-market stakeholder group.
Responsibilities
Work directly with Head of Launch to develop Stripe’s global Launch strategy, in alignment with Stripe’s Sales and business strategy
Implement Launch team user facing engagement strategy, defining activities between the Launch team (including Launch team Onboarding Managers and Integration Engineers), our Sales organization, Users, and internal go-to-market stakeholders
Introduce and drive reporting and operational rigor to ensure accountability and continuous improvement
Drive significant team efficiencies via task centralization, standardization and automation
Be accountable for building and driving large-scale programs end-to-end, and be directly responsible for marshaling the cross-functional support and resources needed to accomplish your goals
Manage directly the ‘full-stack’ of change management activities across stakeholder engagement and creating champions, messaging/communication planning, support and enablement related to the Launch program
Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across Stripe across levels and functions to align with Launch team goals and Roles and Responsibilities
Seamlessly prioritize among various projects and synthesize data to guide/support strategy and decision
Make exec level recommendations, communication materials, and drive decisions, where necessary.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Requirements
6+ years of experience in program management, business operations, management consulting or a related discipline. Experience working in a sales and marketing organization
A strong track record of delivering global, complex programs in a changing, ambiguous environment (including program design and implementation) which have delivered quantifiable business impact
The ability to diagnose, simplify and structure problems and solutions
Experience implementing solutions, not just setting strategy
A high degree of comfort working quickly in a high growth, fast-paced environment
An ability to seamlessly transition from the high level to very detailed, and a willingness to “roll up your sleeves”
Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication experience, influencing across all levels from front lines to C-Suite. You set a high-bar in terms of communication effectiveness
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience driving User Onboarding or Customer Success functions
Comfort operating with incomplete data and adapting / re-prioritizing activities as business needs change
Deep problem solving and analysis experience (solving business problems - commercial, operational, financial) in a Sales-oriented environment
A growth mindset and innate curiosity where every interaction is an opportunity to learn and improve (yourself, and those around you)
You demonstrate leadership qualities throughout your work – taking ownership of challenges, selflessly supporting your colleagues, and setting the standard for quality in your deliverables
Prior experience with payments
Comfort with SQL
