About the job

Twilio is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead strategic planning, execution, and evolution of our developer community programs, starting with the Twilio Champions program.

You’ll be responsible for scaling systems that help Twilio’s most passionate developers connect, contribute, and create impact, while ensuring that these programs drive measurable business value and developer delight. You will act as a connector across teams, from DevNet to Product to Legal, to ensure that community initiatives are aligned with Twilio’s mission to unlock the imagination of builders.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Own the Twilio Champions brand ambassador program from end-to-end, from recruitment and onboarding through enablement and offboarding, ensuring an exceptional experience for Champions and a clear line of sight to business outcomes.

  • Design and implement scalable systems for community operations, engagement tracking, and reporting, allowing programs to grow efficiently across multiple regions and initiatives.

  • Manage cross-functional projects, such as community platform enhances, recognition programs, or meetup initiatives, ensuring strong planning, communication, and accountability.

  • Collaborate cross-functionality to identify opportunities where community efforts can amplify company goals.

  • Drive strategic alignment by helping to create structured plans, metrics, and feedback loops that help teams make data-informed decisions about community involvement and investment.

  • Develop and maintain program insights in partnership with Marketing Strategy and Analytics to demonstrate impact and tell stories of success.

  • Mentor and guide others in project management best practices, operational excellence, and stakeholder management.

*Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in program or project management, ideally within developer relations, marketing operations, or a similar cross-functional environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to design and scale programs with measurable business impact (e.g., contributor programs, ambassador networks, community initiatives.) 

  • Proven success managing multiple stakeholders and leading projects across teams with different priorities. 

  • Strong skills in process design, documentation, and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to present complex ideas and present clearly to executives.

  • Comfort engaging with technical audiences (developers, data analysts, engineering managers, CTOs.) 

Desired:

  • Experience managing brand ambassador programs in a technology company

  • Familiarity with community engagement platforms (e.g., CommonRoom, Discord/Slack, Reddit, Meetup, or similar.)

  • Experience using data and analytics to assess program health and report outcomes

  • Prior experience collaborating with marketing, product, or Developer Relations teams.

  • PMP, Agile, or other formal project management training or certification.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Location

This role will be remote.

Travel 

We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. For this role, you may be required to travel occasionally to participate in project or team in-person meetings.
