The Product Trust & Enablement team is a new, synergistic group combining security and product management expertise, embedded in Consumer Product Security & Trust (CPST). Its primary goal is to be the front-line enablement team for our product management and engineering organizations, ensuring security is integrated into the consumer product lifecycle. This role requires a deep understanding of our organization's defense-in-depth approach to securing Netflix products, making you a strong advocate for the Consumer Product Security & Trust organization and other key security functions, such as application and infrastructure security. You will be responsible for developing scalable mechanisms that align security risk tolerance with business priorities and product risk tolerance. As the Product Trust & Enablement Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for defining clear security strategies and fostering key relationships across all our lines of business, including Streaming, Games, and Ads, to protect consumers, partners, infrastructure, and content from fraud and abuse. This includes both organic growth initiatives and strategic partnerships. A core focus of this role is enabling security at scale. Key areas of responsibility are: * Scaling consumer identity and authentication (AuthN) security solutions. * Evaluating architectural considerations and performing threat modeling for new consumer-facing product features. * Driving security-by-default design principles through context gathering and influence. You must effectively balance the need for business domains to innovate quickly with the necessity of advancing foundational security capabilities. Each member of the team is integral to the security narrative, and as a leader, you must be skilled at pulling out relevant information to clearly articulate risk as a risk storyteller. Role Description: * Nurture the cohesion of a newly formed team through understanding of charter and purpose * Develop and deploy scalable threat modeling and risk review processes, including risk tolerance considerations and acceptability mechanisms * Create mechanisms that allow SMEs to engage at the right time with the right solutions during the consumer product lifecycle * Articulate and advocate for right-sized risk tolerance levels * Drive alignment on an appropriate security risk posture in product verticals Desired skills and background * Expert risk story teller * Strong communication skills, with an ability to translate detailed technical concepts or business context to those not as closely involved * Experience working on highly cross functional projects, spanning internal and external stakeholders with ability to influence without authority * Experience working directly on consumer products, understanding trade offs between security and user experience, with expertise in account, device and/or content security preferred * Experience managing and growing a combination of early career and tenured engineers in a highly dynamic environment Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $510,000.00 - $752,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location. Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
