Product Owner
Overview
The role: We are hiring a Product Owner to join Recharge’s product team, working closely with Senior and Group Product Managers and engineering partners on early stage, experimental initiatives. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants real responsibility early, thrives in fast moving environments, and is motivated to grow into a Product Manager role over time. You will help turn ideas into execution, learning directly from customer feedback, experiments, and shipped work. High ownership, high exposure, and a steep learning curve. Team overview: This team operates at the intersection of exploration and execution. We both explore new product opportunities before they are proven and own core parts of the merchant and end customer experience. The work spans early experimentation, iteration, and maintaining high quality foundations that customers rely on every day. This is a high impact team with visibility across the company. It is a proving ground for future PMs and the place where new product bets are shaped alongside meaningful improvements to core experiences. Location: Canada (remote)
What you’ll do
Partner closely with PMs, engineers, and designers to deliver early stage product work
Own backlog management, ticket quality, and day to day execution
Own day to day product execution decisions within defined problem spaces, escalating tradeoffs and directional questions to PMs as needed
Translate high level product direction into clear requirements and acceptance criteria
Actively participate in discovery through customer calls, feedback synthesis, and experiment analysis, bringing insights back into delivery decisions
Help run experiments, track outcomes, and feed learnings back into product decisions
Ensure momentum is maintained across fast moving, iterative workstreams
Operate with urgency, balancing speed with quality and learning
Support early adoption by partnering with PMM on launch execution, early customer feedback loops, and iteration post launch
Live by and champion our values: Accountability, Collaboration, Iteration, and Details
What you’ll bring
1 to 4 years experience in a Product Owner, Associate PM, or adjacent role
Strong interest in product management and building products from zero to one
High ownership mindset and strong bias toward action
Comfort working in ambiguity and changing priorities
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Curiosity, drive, and ambition to grow into a Product Manager role
Preferred experience:
Experience working with Shopify, ecommerce platforms, or merchant facing products
Technical fluency through prior work or education, such as experience collaborating closely with engineers, working with APIs or data models, or building software adjacent products (coding not required)
Interview recording & AI notetakers To protect privacy, legal compliance, and interviewer/candidate experience, recording, transcribing, or using AI notetaker tools during interviews is not permitted without our prior written consent. Handwritten notes are welcome. If you need an accommodation (e.g., captions), email recruiting@getrecharge.com before your interview—we’ll arrange an approved solution. Compensation
