At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what’s next.

The Product Team: We want to invent entertainment experiences the world can’t live without, connecting people with stories they’ll love. The Member Experience Product Management team is accountable for making the core Netflix experience better every day for our members around the world. Our work spans all platforms (TV/living room, mobile, tablet, and web), and includes experiences and ranking/recommendations strategy across discovery/browse (shows, movies, live programming, and games), search, player, identity/profiles, and new surfaces.

Our team is hiring a Product Manager for Core Discovery. This role focuses on building product capabilities that help members more easily discover, choose, and engage with content across Netflix, whether that’s a series, film, game, podcast, or new content formats over time.

You will work on developing experiences and solutions that make choosing feel simple and intuitive, and help members quickly find something they want to watch or play. This work spans all platforms, including TV, mobile, tablet, and web, and requires thinking beyond individual features to build solutions that scale across surfaces, use cases, and content types.

You will define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for your area, grounded in member needs, data, and business priorities. You will work closely with cross-functional partners across engineering, data science, design, and research to take ideas from concept through execution and iteration. This role requires strong judgment in identifying the highest impact opportunities, balancing short-term improvements with longer-term investments, and building alignment across teams working on different parts of the member discovery experience.

This role is ideally based in our Los Gatos or Los Angeles office in a hybrid model, but we are also open to remote candidates who are aligned with occasional travel to Los Gatos and Los Angeles.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to have a huge impact. The products and features you will be working on are central to the product experience of hundreds of millions of people around the world.

  • Responsibility. Netflix offers true transparency and autonomy. Our culture is unique and is key to how we innovate.

  • Learning. You will be creating customer experiences and business models that have never been done before. You will have the opportunity to work with stunning colleagues who value collaboration and from whom you can learn.

Who will be successful in this role?

  • You combine strong product judgment with the ability to work across a broad set of partners to define, explain, and execute on your product strategy.

  • You are comfortable operating in complex and ambiguous spaces, and can translate member needs, data, and business context into a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap for your area.

  • You partner effectively with cross-functional teams including other product managers, engineering, data science, design, and research to build and scale solutions that improve how members discover and engage with content.

  • You think beyond individual features and consider how your work fits into the broader product ecosystem, identifying opportunities to simplify and extend capabilities across surfaces, use cases, and content types.

  • You have a track record of shipping high-quality consumer products, making thoughtful tradeoffs, and driving measurable impact.

Skills

  • 5–8 years of product management experience, ideally in consumer-facing or platform-oriented products

  • Strong product judgment and ability to define strategy and roadmap in ambiguous problem spaces

  • Technical fluency with the ability to work closely with engineering and data teams and understand system-level tradeoffs

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work across broad stakeholder sets (i.e. engineering, design, data science, research, other product managers).

  • Experience building and shipping products that span multiple platforms and act as core capabilities.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Data-informed mindset, with experience using metrics, experimentation, and research to guide decisions

  • Ability to connect product decisions to broader business goals and drive measurable impact

  • Proactive and growth mindset with a bias toward action and continuous improvement. You’re constantly looking for what will make the Netflix product better.

  • Passion and interest in TV/Movie/Games & entertainment culture a strong plus.
