These teams are at the nexus of feature development and innovation at Figma—they build systems and tooling that help product engineers go from code to production quickly and safely, while ensuring product quality issues are easy to prevent, detect, and mitigate.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:

  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of, and empathy for, internal developer journeys and workflows

  • Partner with data science to understand how performance and quality issues impact users and business goals

  • Define a vision for foundational systems, tooling, and internal APIs that help frontend and mobile engineers build innovative features quickly

  • Partner with engineering to build internal tooling that improves developer velocity and quality

  • Partner with engineering to build testing frameworks, observability systems, and build/release tooling

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Have 4+ years as a product manager in a technical area

  • Previous experience working on mobile engineering, developer experiences, tools, workflows, and/or infrastructure

  • Previous experience working with APIs and collaborating with engineering on system design tradeoffs

  • Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and driving complex projects

While not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:

  • Demonstrated ability bringing a product-centric and user-centric approach to projects driven by platform teams

  • Confirmed ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Consistent track record establishing KPIs for platform teams, and driving business impact

  • Proven ability to lead through influence, especially when helping product teams adopt the tooling and best practices established by platform teams

  • Experience working as a frontend or mobile engineer

  • Experience working on build and release tooling

  • Experience working on testing frameworks and observability platforms

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
